And WHY would Anders withhold that same information from a female character? There is no reason to it, other than to create the illusion of him being straight.
I'm not sure what they were thinking in regards to that scene. Perhaps is was an oversight due to the game being rushed.
Anders does have some flirty lines with Varric though. I think it was a scene where the two of them are talking, then Anders leaves and Hawke starts a convo with Varric.

Well, to be fair, his exact quote was:

He says "which are both possibilities". That's different than, "it's possibly". The first suggests that those are both things you might encounter when you play. The second would suggest that it might or might not be in the game . It's slightly different to me.
It sounds to me as if this is indeed confirmation that there will be gender and race gating in some capacity. The extent to which, I can't begin to speculate though. The only thing I would say is that the fact that he says race gating is "a possibility" suggests to me that maybe not all races or LIs will be gated.
But it is currently looking far more likely that there are.
In theory Sera could still end up bisexual, but as we know things right now, its pretty damned likely she's gay, and its pretty damned likely that the already small pool of romance options will be limited by race as well.
The difference is Sera was confirmed Gay. Race restrictions were just confirmed as a possibility, nobody said they actually would be in the game, Just that they could be.

You, on the other hand, either inserted yourself into an argument you don't understand and haven't the good grace to admit, or are changing goalposts and using strawmen to avoid admitting you were wrong.

At the moment i just want to know if some races will be restricted to fewer (or perhaps even none, in a worst case scenario) options than others. Particuarly since gender gating is already in place.
Yes. There is no guarantee that a particular gender/race combination will have as many romantic prospects as another.
And that's fine. Romance options are not candy to be dispensed fairly and evenly, and if there's a particular character that you've decided before the game is released that you must romance, it's advisable you play a different PC. The most we can do (and have done) is ensure that there's no overall slanting towards a particular group-- it's all over the map, for various reasons.

Unless the man would like to clarify, but i severely doubt that will be happening even if he was allowed to do so.

There is a difference. The devs have flat-out stated that Sera is female-only, while Gaider only said that there was no guarantee that a particular race/gender combination would have the same romantic possibilities as another.
Therefore, Sera is most unlikely to change, while we don't actually know what's going on with race restrictions.
So I leave for an hour or so to watch my nephew and I come back and find this.

I'm not saying there will or won't be, I just thought that was a bit of a false comparison. One was confirmed the other was well idk, sort of maybe confirmed but not officially.
