If they end up race gating, the two likeliest candidates, in my opinion, would probably be Varric and Iron Bull, and maybe Dorian w/ Qunari. I feel that those who are race restricted have a higher chance of possibly being bisexual.

How many people react when in a movie or anything else really, has a gay couple in them? alot of people. i saw paranorman some time ago and then i went online, and holy cow there was some people saying that the dude that the sister is "interested" in, is gay. and said it was a bad inflence on the children...screw that he helped them the entire movie, cause he is gay so, "EVIL BEGONE!". we people of this so called world judge people on looks before anything else, then comes the rest. And sexuality is pretty damn high on that list. Thanks to as you said before, Mass media. that is why i love Bioware for making Sexuality more a "thing" in gaming, cause people who play their games need to learn for them selves ( and not listen to every adult that is narrow minded). even if Bioware ain´t doing it for this reason it´s a valid point to bring up.

Bigger dudes does not mean bigger dicks. Your assumption isn't 'common sense' because a look around a men's shower could tell you this. Your assumption isn't using 'your brain' because five minutes on google could explain that's not how reproductive organs work.

If you like the idea of incredibly well-endowed qunari dudes stuffing elven and human women to bursting, that's fine. Trying to suggest it's anything more than a sexual fantasy is ridiculous though.

Makes sense, since Varric is a dwarf and IB is a Qunari, and Dorian is a tewinter mage, and they fight a war with the Qunari. And to even that out you make them Bi. why not?

At least two separate regions have each been described as being larger than all of DAO combined. I can't help but feel that by trimming down those regions just a tad - so little that people wouldn't even notice - that we could have used the development resources to keep the romance department to at least DAO levels - where every given racial/gender combination has at LEAST two romantic options available to them. At the rate things are going, I don't think we'll even get that.

I wasn't even bothered by race gating when in first came up because those two were then only ones I saw it effecting.

My biggest problem right now is that we keep jumping between 'yes, no, maybe, find out yourself'. Their teasing has gone from kinda cute/suspenseful to just downright annoying.

I think the issue that I have race gating is that, similar to gender gating, I tend to play in the minority, so I suspect that it will be another restriction on me and not on those who play as straight humans.  I have no desire to play as a human or elf, but I will bet dollars to donuts that if any races have less options than others, it will be the dwarves and qunari. 

 

I'm just frustrated to keep getting glimmers of hope that there will be so many options only to have it dashed with even more restrictions.  That doesn't make the game more enjoyable to me.

What do you think the restrictions will be? IB's Character profile said he would sleep with anyone he didn't think he would break. So I guess that means he might not be available for elves and or Dwarves but we really can't be sure.

While I agree with the suggestion (though I doubt it's that simple), I'm not sure where the pessimism is coming from. What, exactly, has been shown (not suggested, implied, or even stated, but shown) that suggests where not going to get DAO levels of romance?

I'm not really following your logic about DA: O?  Unless you consider Morrigan and Leliana to be romance options for gay males simply because the prompts exist?  Gay men and lesbians did not have "at least two romantic options available to them".

Yep. Especially since 4 of the females in the Inquisition? are human females.

 

I'd be tickled pink if there's a female human LI that's not into humans.

 

I highly doubt that's the case though.
