I think it's actually around the puberty age, yeah. Connor was pretty small, so I guess it can be pretty young.

Yeah Anders mentions something about most of them being taken away before they've learned their letters. So it's more likely childhood than teenager years. You should know your letters by then

- Apparently  Cassandra and Cullen are confirmed, other than that I have no idea. Sera would be character-wise good candidate, though.

- Varric and Iron Bull, since some break for human/elven lover streak would be welcome and I just happen to love Varric's character. Cassandra and Cullen are okay, especially former since I find her character interesting. Cullen just need some hugs after doomed crush on my flirty, careless Surana

- Straight elven romance, dwarf/kossith romance, basically different type of romances. Though I did like so far all previous ones (excluding Morrigan/Isabela/Merrill romances, I haven't tried out them yet   )

- All bisexual would probaply be most likely if there is only four romances; higher than that makes it way too unbelievable. Personally I would want some straight options, especially Cullen since I think it fits his character. Race restriction would also be good (Varric states in DA2, if I remember right, that he preferred dwarven ladies.)

- 4-6, and maybe some one night stands. Perhaps Inquisitor builds her/his own brothel

- I assume this question talks about non-companions, yes? All of them are NPCs after all.

And Cullen is one, isn't he? So I would say yes for getting them. As for how they work, I guess similar to ME3.

Did anyone else thought that maybe Iron Bull will be just for Qunari and Varric for dwarfs? Race could be a factor ,and who knows even class and/or story decisions.

Gaider hates fans making any assumptions about the game other than that it will be good. As far as he's concerned, we're wrong to assume that the game will include dragons.

Did anyone else thought that maybe Iron Bull will be just for Qunari and Varric for dwarfs? Race could be a factor ,and who knows even class and/or story decisions.

Unless everybody is a romance, which we know they aren't, then I don't see romances being restricted to race.

I think we'll see characters who are romancable or not depending on things like gender, race, or your in game actions/affiliations.

I don't know if Cullen will like men, but I'm going to bet he doesn't like blood mages who engage in the mass slaughter of Templars.

I think romances will be gated by choice, to an extent. I mean, some companions have always had dealbreaker moments where they leave or turn on you. I'm sure a lot of them will again. I think it'll be framed in the same situation where they just absolutely will not tolerate some decisions. 

 

I don't really think they'll be gated by race. There's just not enough options. Everyone's probably only getting two per sexuality/gender already. Race knocks them down to one or less.

It did raise my eyebrow, I would welcome class restriction with gender restrictions (either go all the way or don't do restrictions), but the consequences are that nearly everyone is a LI.

 

And that's quite unlikeky to say the least.

As it is the news of orientation restrictions on romances has left me looking at the lack of females in the companion lineup and wondering if all 3 will be LI. So can't see how class/racial restrictions could be added atop of this already strange decision.

1) My bets are on Cullen, Cass, Vivienne, Sera and DHMG

2) I personally want Cole for my head-canon female Inquisitor and Sera for my second-playthrough male Inquisitor.

3) It would be really nice if LIs were not all humans and elves only, it would be great to see a cool dwarven or qunari Li as well.

4) Don't really care, but I wouldn't like a race/gender restriction to be too hard...

5) I think there will be 4 in the party and 2-3 of the NPCs.

6) Yep, I suppose we will, but I think they will be more like Samantha/Cortez from ME3, i.e. not so worked out as the main LIs.

So Gaider just posted in the resurrected "sexuality" thread in Scuttlebutt.  The gist of his comments were that, while he would prefer if the discussion of romances wasn't around "realism", the team is focused on creating more varied relationships, including not locking out content for LI's who aren't being romanced.  He also assured people that the team is still focused on providing equitable options and that they will be discussing more about romances in the upcoming months.

 

I feel a bit better after reading it.

Also, about restrictions... i don't think it's about race as well... but based on your actions. Me thinks, anyway.

I've actually seen a bunch of people say it made them think she wasn't. lol

 

But it's mostly a deduction thing. Cassandra is confirmed as a human LI, so people expect Sera to also be an LI, since she's a cute elf girl. Cullen is confirmed as a male LI and he's an NPC, which leads people to believe there will be one NPC LI of each gender. Most people don't believe there will be more than 6 LIs. If that all works out, it leaves Vivienne out of the loop.

Since Mary Kirby writes a LI, and it is likely not Varric but either Vivienne or mysterious third one...
I bet she is LI
