Well Karl is one thing, but it's rawr I'm a templar that hates all mages and will support the mages with my dying breath, but love me Anders!

 

Or Fenris and being a bloodmage and him falling madly in love with me(which also applies to Alistair) If this stuff means the writers can focus more on romances without fear on variable ala what dialog should I now write for male PC for Iron Bul instead of forcing on assuring that we don't have stupid crap tha could have hap[pen in the pastl and allows better quality, then I'm fine with that, I just wish the cost did not devoid people of choices or that Bioware worded it so poorly with the "realistic" bullocks.

True. Bloodmage should've been an instant relationship killer for Fenris and Aggressive Rivalry Hawke (the one who's all EVIL MAGES) should've been an instant killer for Anders. I can see Anders getting with a moderate Hawke though since that Hawke was constantly saying he was pro mage reform but not as radical as Anders was suggesting and most of the idiots you send back to the circle were bloodmagic using idiots. *shrugs* but if that had been restricted so be it.

You've clearly never been a gay person in a sheltered area. If there is a desire to experiment, you'll find a way to do it. You don't need an adventurous life to be able to do it.....

It may not have anything to do with your sexual orientation, but seeing beauty in all things will probably shape your sexuality.

He wouldn't stop appreciating beauty in all its forms, if that's what you mean. I agree. However, in such a case his aesthetic views would not be informing his sexual orientation the way they apparently do now.

 

It's always possible, of course, that Zevran was always just bisexual, and he's just making a poetic link to sweet-talk his way into our pants.

That's what I had hoped they were doing instead of the gender restrictions.

 

Hopefully it'll be along side the gender restrictions as well. Otherwise bleh.

I personally feel that, while most people are indeed born with their sexuality, sexuality is an evolving thing.  It isn't unusual for adolescents and young adults to go through phases of experimentation, and even fully believe that they are bi and/or homosexual during those years.  And maybe they genuinely are, but there are also instances where, after a few years, they settle on a previous, or entirely different sexuality than what defined them prior.  There have also been instances of straight people being attracted to a member of their same sex, and solely that member, but are otherwise straight, and vice versa. 

And while I do think that the majority of people remain the sexuality that they are born with, I believe a lot of people's sexual identity changes with them over the years.

I know a woman who's told me that when she was young she was straight. She was attracted to men, she enjoyed sleeping with them, and she had romantic relationships with them. She wasn't interested in women.

Now, she's mostly interested in women and doesn't feel much attraction to men.

Is she lying? Is she an idiot who doesn't understand her own sexual history?

I could see it feeding into Zevran being promiscuous. But as you say, I'm not sure if it's because of his orientation.

I think it's important to remember that sexual development isn't a one-size-fits-all deal. A person's sexual habits, desires, and identity can be the result of a multitude of factors.

If Zevran says that he's bisexual because he's able to perceive the beauty in all things then that's his bisexuality, and not representative of every bisexual person ever.

I believe that DHMG will refuse to romance you unless your Inquisitor also has a rockin' mustache. The sex scene will consist of them rubbing those mustaches together. I think that would positively affect the gaming experience.
