Exactly.  I'm tired of both the sex-obsessed rogue AND the sex-obsessed bisexual.  Both are tired at this point.

I always speak for myself (mine self?).  I know that for every Zev hater, there's a Zev lover out there.  It's more that he was the only m/m LI for me as well.  I'm not into Fenris either (too skinny, too J-Pop-y, too emo), but my dislike for him is mitigated by the fact that I at least have another option in DA 2 (not that DA 2 Anders was much better....., but hey, beggars can't be choosers, right?)

Personally, I like the sex obsessed LI existing. And honestly I'd prefer a romance with them that didn't end up as true love but just continued on as two friends with benefits for the duration. 

 

Far as I'm concerned, that would be the real trend breaker.

I don't mind it, but it's only been with a Rogue and it's overdone.

Unfortunately, I think Sera will suffer the same fate as her predecessors.

Yeah, that could work as well.  Just something other than the, "I use sex as an emotional shield, but, gosh darnit, you (PC) are just too great so I'm going to let down my guard and be your one true love....." (although I'll admit that I never completed an Isabela romance so I don't know where the arc goes for her).

Sera and Solas seem like prime candidates. That way there are non-human romance-able companions for both sexes, and elves seem to be the most popular choice for that.

Iron Bull and the Grey Warden. I don't expect to get either, although I think Iron Bull might have a fighting chance given that the main character can be any race, thereby opening the door for (hopefully?) Qunari/Human romances, or at the very least Qunari/Qunari. I have no idea if there will be stipulations on what race your main character can be in order to romance characters, but that would be annoying.

More grizzled veterans with hard earned experience and wisdom under their belts. Another words men, not boys. I've had enough of the angst and self-righteous hot-heads.

Playersexual is the only option that allows everyone equal share of the characters. Except in rare cases where a companions orientation might be integral to the plot, I don't see why this is such a terrible idea. I expect what they'll use will be a vague combination, like always.

I'd like to think there will be more than in previous games. They have taken more time to develop Inquisition and it's no secret that most people would prefer more options. 

 

-NPC romances; Do you think we'll get them? Do you want them? How do you think they'd work?

Anything is possible. It was done in Mass Effect and while I never utilized the NPC romances (none of them interested me), I liked the idea a lot. If there is a home base of sorts in Inquisition where you visit frequently throughout the game, it would be easy to implement it. The NPCs would inhabit the base, a la Mass Effect and the Normandy.

I doubt that you will be shut out of LIs based on race. If they did that, they'd need like at least a dozen LIs to give each race enough romances. So this game will open up the Qunari/other race door here, either through Ion Bull or the Qunari Inquisitor.

Well, the writers might not script a qunarimance with IB, but I sure as hell am going to experience one when my qunari Inquisitor romances the hairiest, manliest of the LI's available to him.  If people are having trouble coming to terms with Cullen being a m/m romance in general, I wonder how they would feel about him falling for my dudequnarinquisitor....?

I agree. I'm not a big fan of promiscious LIs, since I can't really identify with that. I'm more of a 'true love' kinda gal.

Liking sex is one thing, but seemingly doing anything that is capable of walking on two legs is a bit too much for me. Especially since they have a habit of flirting with people outside of their existing relationship and, in Isabela's case at least, have little qualms about sleeping around. Which wouldn't have bothered me if I could have at least told her that I wasn't okay with it. That would have at least made for an interesting conversation, along with giving us a sort of 'make or break' situation.

Plus, the whole thing is just getting old.

 

Unfortunately, I kinda see Sera going down that path. :/

4. Set and Varied Sexualitys, is what i'd prefer and expect.

The approach they use actually depends on the number of resources they get and the total number of LI'S, less resources would equal player sexuality, more would equal varied sexualitys which what Gaider stated and what he prefers. Some of the devs indicated that it won't be playersexual, whatever they do will upset people and there is no pleasing everyone nor will they try to do so.

So 4 = all BI, 6+ = set and varied

Yes, it should work fairly well considering we'll likely have advisors or other important individuals in our camps and that we'll probably spend a lot of time in them for numerous thing's, like planning missions, sending our agents and scouts out into the world, crafting and customizing our weapons and armors ( especially if you plan to hunt all the dragons), picking ingredients from the skyhold garden, crafting potions, storing gear and other stuff we want to keep, talking to our companions etc.

It would have to be someone whom we spend a lot of time with, which is what Laidlaw said during one of the podcasts, he didn't confirm anything just said if they dif npc romances it has to be someone we spend a lot of time with.

1. Cass, Cullen, Solas, Sera. If there are 6 (which looks likely), then add Scribe Girl and either IB or DHMG in there too.

 

2. Iron Bull. Please. None of the other guys outside of Varric appeal to me appearance-wise or (in Cullen's case) personality-wise, and appearances are pretty much all we have to go on now.

 

3. Interesting ones? Um...Garrus's romance is still the best Bioware's ever done imo, so more of that. Morrigan's was damn good, as were Bastila's, Anders's, and Zevran's. I dunno, just write them well and have a variety, and I'm happy.

 

4. 2/2/2, if only because having everyone bi requires a little too much suspension of disbelief. However, I do admit that the "everyone is bi" route is probably the easiest and the fairest.

 

5. In this game? 6, hopefully. In future games? Who knows!

 

6. I'd put money on Cullen being an NPC romance, so yes.
