I too want to stay away from the whole 'promiscuous bisexual rogue' thing. All the textual (meaning bisexual without requiring meta-gaming to learn this) followed this thing. Except for Anders who was a promiscuous bisexual mage. For the love of Tom Brady, please...don't have the bisexual characters all be promiscuous rogues.

I agree with this. Even as someone who really likes Isabela's character, I wouldn't want this pattern repeated. I don't really mind the rogue part though, since that's more of a combat thing. Nathaniel Howe was a good example of a no-nonsense rogue.

Well then, if he really is "psychologically" a child (though I got the impression that he changed drastically in the end of Asunder), then I will be his BFF ^_^

Well then uh...watch your back. And also your front.

I am so tired if careless, irresponsible, nymphomaniac dual wielding rogue LIs...
Sera fits this archetypes too well...

I think she'll be young, playful, and sweet. I'm thinking more Amoen than Isabela.

If I only played the game once as a guy I would never know Alistair was an LI. If I only played it once as a woman I would nvr know Morrigan was an LI. In any one game you have three people who can potentially express an interest in you. And Leliana and Zev can both not be recruited, either by missing them or by killing them outright.

Firstly, you cannot kill Leliana outright from first meeting her, you can only reject her offer to come along and that has to be done twice (both occurrences inside and outside of the tavern in Lothering) and she cannot be kliled outside of the Sacred Ashes quest. You can Zevran though on his first encounter. Secondly, you can also know Morrigan or Alistair is an LI by proposition no matter, it is clear in the game if you make a proposition of a 3-way of some kind on two different occasions.

I'm going to quickly note how happy I am that we finally get a warrior for a female LI.

It never even occurred to me that all of the female LI options in the two games so far have been nothing but rogues or mages.

Yeah, it's not even just the rogue part. It's the combination of rogue+promiscuous+bisexual that I don't want to see again.

I'm always watchful. But I don't think that Cole would betray his BFF, though. Not his style.

I was more referring to the discussions on the semantics on 3 vs 4 LIs in Dragon Age: Origins. Given that we both agreed, but one party was coming at it from a metagaming perspective (before the CC) and the other was coming from it from a textual perspective (after the CC).

Agreed, upon that clarification :)

You can walk right past Sten and never go into the tavern to see Leliana. I missed her my first time through Lothering.

I've never propositioned a three way in the game as either sex, so whatever you can do in the Pearl isn't necessarily going to indicate who the meta game LI is.

But I agree with Darth on this. Arguing semantics isn't a great use of time haha. :)

Not to mention you can play and completely skip over Isabela. There's never any need to go to the Pearl during the main quest.

I'm thinking she won't be promiscuous...or will be straight.

I'm actually guessing she'll be somewhat of a prankster (random comment which has nothing to do with her sexuality btw ;)).

Well, you said kill Leliana "outright", no? That's not possible. But passing her up, yes I guess that's possible, though I admit I have never done that by never going into the tavern (since many NPCs in Lothering mention that place many times). When propositioning sexual encounters involving more than two people, you can actually have a 4-way in the game outside of a 3-way, seriously.

As far as semantics, I don't argue them, I argue the words of those who make them, and they can explain their intents otherwise if I fail to understand their position, especially when I ask that. Arguing semantics is outside of that realm and is typically that of the disingenuous sort.

Yeah there's not much reason to go back after you get the duelist specialization unlocked *shrugs*

I said MISS THEM OR kill them outright. And I linked it: leliana and zeveran, miss them or kill them outright. K?

Yeah, I guess I just didnt realize which buildings I could go into...or I couldn't tell all the non descript buildings apart, or maybe I was so excited I just kinda ran through since its all optional content. *shrug* Hey,just b/c you didn't do it doesn't mean its not a valid way to play.

Oh haha, I thought you meant in Dragon Age 2...I missed her at the Hanged Man as well.

I go there every time. Actually, I complete every quest, every time, and pick all the locks, pick up all the loot, etc, even when I reach a level cap. Every time I play DA/ME. Here's me, level maxed out, full health, more money than Tom Brady, and I'll still be pickpocketing people and grabbing loot, and doing thing even if I don't get XP anymore. It's a problem I have.

Whelp I guess maybe since Dragon Age was only like the 3rd game I had ever played and I just generally wanted to get on with things I somehow missed one random load screen that would have led me to a character. And yes, I know there are many companion variations for the 'multi-way' orgy at the pearl.

I thought Leliana and Alistair only did the orgies if hardened? Morrigan never goes for it (think she kills it for you if you're romancing her) and Zevran always goes for it unless Alistair's involved?

*shudders* I usually mod myself extra stuff so I can skip all the busy work. Let alone doing it each runthrough just *shivers*

I walked into the Hanged Man to give Varric my 50 gold for the expedition and her cut scene with Lucky played.

I recruited her at that point but um...well you've heard how good my first playthroughs seem to go-she oviously did not bring the Qun back in Act 2

I really enjoyed playing DA2 as an "evil" character - the faces of Isabella handed over to the Arishok and Fenris given back to Danarius were priceless ^_^

But I couldn't kill Anders anyway. It was just so... unclean. A stab in the back and all. Maybe I'm just too attached to his character)

I didn't get her to return with the tome in my first playthrough either. But then I also made it very clear to her that I would hand it back to the Qunari once we got it.

I didn't even get the duel, so my first fight with the Arishok was with the Arishok and all his Qunari buddies. Don't know how many times Hawke died there. It was painful.

Same here, maybe it's the reason I'm not a fan of Isabela because she betrayed me the first time I played...

...You could hand Fenris over to Danarius. Someone who's up to that point has only helped you and is no threat to you at all and you can tell him to leave at least twice to that point but stabbing Anders who's demon possessed and insane who just blew up a Chantry is unclean?

Yeah that happened my first run XD I stopped recruiting her after that then I grabbed her once, rivaled her and I have to say I may not like Isabela at all but that scene where she brings back the book is awesome. I can't turn on her then. Plus it's the most anti-climatic and ridculous way to become Champion. As I said before you let the Arishok get the girl and the book walk off after slaughtering who knows how many people and you're crowned champion. Laaaaammmmee.

I need the ability to like this twice b/c the .gif. LOST

I kill the Arishok (Fenris must of been in my party b/c clearly I didn't have the sense to go and chat with the Arishok to gain his respect  ) and then act 3 started and I went "When is Isabela coming back? This is weird". I looked it up online, rage quit and started over. Poor Erin Hawke nvr saw act 3....or most of Act 1 and 2 probably.
