I hope for Solas (my guess of oriantation: gay), Sera (bi/lesbian), Varric (hetero/bi), Vivienne (lesbian/bi), Iron Bull (hetero) and the Mustache mage (hetero/bi). Might be totally wrong, though. I would like to have at least 6 romance options. NPC romances could work, but the NPC must spend a lot of time with the Inquisitor like the companions.
I'm glad they did not use the "playersexual" orientation. I say they did their best in ME3. Hope it will be similar.
 

I'm planning to play;

female Qunari mage - with Iron Bull as LI (sounds easy),

female Dwarf - with Varric, if I'm lucky,

male Elf - with Solas,

male Qunari - not sure with whom... Sera would be cute, but might be as well with Viv or Mr. Mustache;
and male Human - probably with Sera.

 

We will see how much it match in the end

My first playthrough of DA2, I played a mage that was a pretty staunch activist. The only reason Anders pissed me off was because he didn't tell me what he was going to do.... because I wanted to help.

 

Oh my... aren't you my lost twin or something? Because that's exactly how I felt the first time I played. Maybe I should feel bad for it, but I don't. The Chantry's regime should have been overthrown years ago, really.

It's not clear, but it was clear was a romantic relationship between them. I think they were just lovers.

Solas is too skinny, too bald, he doesn't have enough facial hair and he dresses kind of badly from what I've seen. Maybe he's a great guy, but right now I'm not feeling it.

I agree.  I like elves, I may be one, but let's let some other races be gay.  I think it unlikely though, Solas is running around Thedas in his long underwear like he's at a medieval and raunchy gay party.

The best guess I've seen for the other character Gaider's writing besides Cassandra is Cole, as Gaider is very attached to that character.

Obviously he writes them both. But Cole as a LI is no no, so it is very likely he writes at least three characters. And not surprising since he usually writes more chars than all other writers

As far as I've understood Gaider's said that he's written for two companions. I'm sure he's written several non companions, but I doubt he'll have written more than that within the party.

Except for DA2, he only wrote one companion, Fenris, along with Meredith and Orsino. The others writers wrote more in DA2.

If you don't like Solas as a gay LI then who would you like to be the LI? I think my female inquisitor would love to have Solas as her LI although she doens't like his pants.
