Well, I need to redo my hypothesis on whose available to who. I'm going with 8 LIs so that each orientation has at least 1 companion LI.

Females

Cassandra: Heterosexual

Sera: Bisexual

Scribbles: Bisexual

Vivienne: Homosexual

Males

Solas: Heterosexual

DHMG: Bisexual

Cullen: Bisexual

Grey Warden: Homosexual

This would be my ideal situation, to be honest. It's unlikely, though, unless NPC romances are notably slight compared to the companions. Otherwise, that's...just so much romance content.

ETA: I missed Cassandra being heterosexual. I'd actually trade her and Sera, in that case. I think I'm so resigned to her and DHMG being just for male Inquisitors that I didn't even notice.  :(

Elves: Merrill- bisexual, Fenris- Bisexual, Zeveren- Bisexual which elf NPC hasn't been bisexual?  The elves are fey.  It would be nice to have a queer love interest that wasn't an elf.

Yeah well, Leliana, Isabela and Anders were also all bisexual. That's 3 humans, 3 elves. It's totally cool to want a queer LI that isn't an elf. I get that and we all want different things: that's fine.

But the whole "It's been done before" argument is just silly. Because it hasn't been done before, we've never seen a purely homosexual elf.

Flip Cullen and Solas and I'm good.

Also, Sera and Cass.

*stabs ur post* no

Hey, blame Bioware not me. I wanted the 'everyone available to everyone' style.

This would be my ideal situation, to be honest. It's unlikely, though, unless NPC romances are notably slight compared to the companions. Otherwise, that's...just so much romance content.

I know it's unlikely, though I would be very happy if it, maybe a couple variations based on missed guesses(I couldn't decide where to put Solas and GW) would be really good.

Here's what I'm still thinking:

FEMALE
Sera - Heterosexual
Scribbles- Bisexual
Cassandra - Homosexual

MALE
Solas - Heterosexual
Cullen - Bisexual
DHMG - Homosexual

Although I'm now a little torn between Solas and the Iron Bull. Either would work, I think.

Personally I'd like to see an elf that wasn't bisexual; I don't care which way they go after that.

Also, Sera and Cass.

Cullen is an NPC, so him being straight would leave no straight male companion options.

Sera and Cass I can see being flipped though.

I don't think we'll be lucky enough to get 2/4/2. Part of me thinks they're stretching the romance budget thin enough with 2/2/2.

What I think:
Females
Heterosexual: Cassandra
Bisexual: Sera
Homosexual: Scribbles

Males
Heterosexual: Cullen
Bisexual: Solas
Homosexual: DHMG

As for what I want, I'll put that in spoilers since this post is long enough, and I'm sure it won't happen anyway, especially the female LIs.
Spoiler

Ok, so, now he's got the mind of a thirteen year old boy.

Nope. :P

Honestly, even if he has the mind of a fully grown adult come the game(which I don't think is going to happen), I find people wanting to romance him to still be somewhat creepy. People got to know the character by reading about him in a book in which he had a child like mentality; what about that is attractive?

Relax. I don't dream of romancing serial killer in life.)) It's a game. So what's wrong with getting unique experience, which we could never have otherways?

And please don't ask me this question, or I'll never shut up.)

There's also a point that, if he changes too much from his book incarnation(and he already has to change a lot to even be functional as a companion), what's the point of including him in the first place? You've essentially made him a completely different character.

In fact, I hope Cole will change more. I hope he will progress and I'm dying to see this.

I just think my Inquisitor will be single at this point.

It's the safest bet :)

I don't mind Cole changing as the game goes on; I would like to see everyone get some character development.

I just think that if he's changed to much at the start of it, then he's not Cole.

Personally I'd like to see an elf that wasn't bisexual; I don't care which way they go after that.

And a gay elf would accomplish that mission... wouldn't they :P? And we have seen plenty of straight elves: Cammen, Gheyna, Soris, etc. They're not romance-able, but still.

And to be honest, I think a purely homosexual elf would be interesting. Elven culture (especially the Dalish) is really focused on reproduction, esp keeping the bloodline pure. In DA2 Merrill talked about her clan would hate her even more if they knew she was romancing a human. I'm curious how a Dalish clan would react to a homosexual member: I don't think they'd have any inherent problem with it, but I'm sure there would be pressure for any elf to take a mate with whom they were capable of reproduction.

All this being said, I pretty much expect both Solas and Sera to be bisexual. It would kinds stink to only have human options for LIs.

Dalish seem pretty up tight about sex, in general.

This literally tells us nothing except that Weekes is writing a non-straight male or a female. The only person that we can rule out is Cassandra because she's being written by Gaider. If we knew who Weekes was writing, that would be one thing, but we don't right? Do we know FOR SURE who any of the writers are except for Cass and Varric's?

So PW's possible LI character is either bi-l, or ******-l
If it is Male LI and we have three m and three f LIS, then...
Cullen, unkown and Weekes' unknown LI.
Cullen - likely hetero-l
Weekes' - bi-l or ******-l
Unknown - bi-l or ******-l
The only way he writes female LI if he writes Scribbles, then she is bi-l or ******-l. Then either Cassandra is straight, or Vivienne/Sera
...
Why do I even waste my time trying to figure this out?

I think to a certain extent what bugs me about the Cole thing is that I just don't get it.

I understand why people want to romance pretty much everyone else, even if they don't appeal to me. Cole's just the one I do not get, at all.

I want to understand, though I'm not sure that I can.

Weekes is IB

Lukas wrote Sera

Mary wrote Viv and Varric

David wrote  Cass (and probably Cole)

They seem to be the biggest "wait until you're married" culture in Thedas.

It probably means he's talking about writing Samantha Tray- no wait, Scribbles.

I never got that impression.

Can't you just randomly hook up with two elves in the DA:O Dalish camp?

Yea, and it causes a big stir. Neither of them think it's even an option at first and both feel really ashamed afterwards. You also get a lecture from the clan's first over it.

And if you convince them to hook up with each other, you get another lecture from the first about how they should have waited and you shouldn't have meddled.

Okay, so then either Iron Bull is bi or gay.
Or Weekes wrote Scribe Girl or Leliana.
Or in addition to IB, Weekes also wrote: Solas, DHMG, or Cullen and they are bi or gay.

Well, he is handsome.) This is just one of the complex of reasons. But it's easy enough to understand.

Others are harder to explain.
