Will the Circle of magi join the Grey wardens now when they are free from the chantry.
The people of thedas will still be afrid of magic and mages to let them be totaly free, and will demand that someone will protect them.
Grey warden needs mages for the joining and learning about the taint (avernus).
Not to mention that the darkspawn them self have mages (fight fire with fire) or learn templar abilites to nullify magic.
+ healing spells in battle.
Grey wardens are needed to kill the archdemon and end the blight but are for the rest conciderd free-loaders by nobels, but heroes to the common people.
The arling of amaranthine may show the people that even during peace times grey warden are needed.
But if grey warden choose to protect people from dangerus magic, and mages from dangerus people it will show that grey wardens are needed, wich will make them even bigger heroes and boost recrutment.
The circle will be an exelent proving ground for new recruits cause a grey warden is to:
Be brave when faceing danger, show compasioin to those less fortunes, being lojyal to his friends and protect the people from danger and since they fight monsters if a recruite is afrid of a blood mage find another job.
And Grey wardens, mages share some things:
Both are plague by demon wisper/darkspawn calling when sleeping, being cut of from family, but i dont think wardens will take away new born from mages like the chantry does, and will allow family to stay together in the circle, or acompany a mage to see his family.
Cause Connor have shown us what an untrained mage can cause unintended, and people still se magic as a mark of shame.
And will blame a mage for a death or bad harrvest, so mages will still loss authority and remain in the circle.
But will provide healing and other magical service for coin to improve their reputation and the wardens.
Speaking of wich now when the chantry dont have any templars i dont think they have monopoly on lyrium anymore, the circle and wardens have a use for it still and the wardens are on good fot with the dwarfs.
The harrowing may still be used to test grey wardens that wish to use blood magic to examine the taint since they do not ban blood magic, could result in less death during the joning, no calling and "power of blood".
Phylactories will still be used to track mages and grey wardens in case they are lost or kidnappt (Dawn of the seeker, the calling, velanna, anders).
Maybe this is what Fiona had in mind, since she is a mage and a grey warden.
Another thing if Griffins are extinct why not use dragons instead, way cooler and it is called DRAGON AGE.
And Gwaren should be given to the Grey wardens.
Howe kills the Couslands, Couslands get Amaranthine, Loghain blames the Wardens, Wardens get Gwaren.
If loghain is made a warden or the land is given to the hero of Ferelden, the land should be by default warden property.
(I always kill loghain and marry anora to a hard Alistair so the land i without a ruler)
It would allsow be the perfect spot for awakening since it got: a deep road connection, a magic forest, swamps/marches and are near to ostagar where the blight started, and should include soldier's Peak DLC instead of Kal' hirol.
Kal'hirol would have be better in origin to power up shale.
