Tja, im englischen Forum wurde darüber schon heiß diskutiert, im deutschen Forum schweigt man sich darüber bisher aus. Schade, dass es diesbezüglich keine Infos unserer Mods gab.
Es gibt eine neue Forenregel und diese besagt folgendes:
9. Groups must abide by all Site Rules and must exist to discuss BioWare-related subject matter
We recognize the desire of some players to have smaller conversations or discussions among a more personal subset of the community. However, because the Forum exists to discuss BioWare products, please create and maintain groups around related subject matter. We understand that sometimes, straying off-topic is unavoidable, but if you want to participate in a group completely unrelated to BioWare, you can create or join the conversation in pre-existing threads in The Lobby, the off-topic sub-forum. Groups there are subject to the same rules as the rest of the Forum. By creating a group, owners are responsible for understanding and being knowledgeable of the site rules, and they agree to moderate their group content. BioWare moderators will follow up on any reports and take appropriate action, which may include closing groups that are inappropriate or largely off-topic.
Groups that are already in existence will have one week to modify themselves to be more on-topic in order to stay active before we ask them to delete permanently and move to a thread on The Lobby or another site. All groups are subject to the same moderation that the rest of the forum is subject to.
This is largely to keep the focus of the site on BioWare culture and our games as well as to prevent toxic subcommunities from forming that we cannot contain. I undertand the desire to form groups to discuss outside topics, but I encourage you to organize with those individuals and find communities elsewhere that can better support those discussions then come here for BioWare related content.
Kurz gesagt heißt das, dass die vorhandenen Gruppen (ein Feature, das das BSN aus der Masse hervorstechen lies, selbst im neuen Einheitsbreidesign) nicht mehr off-topic sein dürfen. Jegliche gruppe muss BW-bezogene Themen behandeln und das sind dank der Franchise-Melk-Taktik von EA im Moment nur Dragon Age und Mass Effect.
Das halte nicht nur ich für äußerst fragwürdig und kontraproduktiv. Im englischen Forum zog diese Entscheidung schon einen netten Shitstorm nach sich, im deutschen Forum hat man diese Info bisher...vergessen?
Wo soll man nun mit BW-fremden Themen hin? Ein Forum lebt doch von seiner Vielfalt. Und BW-Lobhudeleien gibt es in den dazugehörigen Foren schon zur Genüge. Gerade nach dem erzwungenem Exodus aus dem Off-Topic-Forum waren die Gruppen eine Heimat für alle, die auch mal abseits von Ferelden und der Citadel Spass haben wollten.
Was bleibt also nach dieser letzten Seitenregeländerung? Benötigt man für BW-Themen denn noch Gruppen? Da dies hier das Forum für "Fragen,Wünsche, Anregungen direkt zum Forum" ist, denke ich, dass man durchaus darüber diskutieren sollte (die Sache mit dem Pflänzchen gebe ich auf). Zwar hat sich bezüglich des Umgangs mit der deutschen Community nichts (zum positiven) geändert, soll heißen unsere Meinung interessiert nach wie vor nicht, aber ich denke trotzdem, dass dies eine Änderung ist, die man nicht schweigend hinnehmen sollte.
Ich hoffe daher, dass man, nachdem nun die Gruppen wegfallen, das OT-Forum wieder gefahrlos nutzen können wird und die Moderatoren im OT-Forum die Einhaltung ihrer Forenrichtlinen nicht ganz so eng sehen.
