I was a Fox McCloud guy back in the day. Is he still considered a good character?
I've been away from the Tiers for some time now, so I dunno.

Apparently Nintendo has joined in on the whole fad of original thought being at such a premium that they couldn't even think of a subtitle. None of the new characters look particularly engaging, I mean Wii-Fit trainer? That feels like frickin April Fools Joke, and why Sonic The Hedgehog still exists baffles me -- Shame Snake isn't in the game because I'd love to play as him again, whooping up Sonic's ass until he stops being such a ******. Snake being in the game would be enough for me to still consider it. I liked Brawl well enough but the nerfing of Falcon and other characters, and how clunky the combat sometimes felt as opposed to how it was in Melee is annoying. Switching out Mewtwo with Lucario is just.. no. Adding Bayonetta would make sense given her sudden exclusiveness on the Wii-U, but I suppose her pole-dancing pubic-hair crotch-thrusting might lead to a rather awkward stern talking to between Mario & Peach. Were Namco to take characters from their franchises I'd personally have loved to see some from the Tales-Series, but I suppose that would have gone too far. Oh well -- The first game is among my favorite games on the N64 and have been contemplating on going back to it and play it again.

New details on one of the 3DS stages, Ballon Fight, only way to KO is up or down, you can't do side KOs. Can't wait for this stage.

On the contray, Wii Fit trainer looks very very promising with her/his very unique move set which is all that matters in a fighting game.

I like to think that what matters for Super Smash Bros. is its character roster as much as its gameplay, which is obviously what makes it appealing and stand out from other fighters, where you'd spend years practicing and learning every slightest nuance and still lose to someone randomly smashing buttons. Brawl had that problem.

Brawls problems was it's physics and speed(which SSB4 has fixed), which was fixed by Project M and added Mewtwo back to the roster Brawl however had better a better roster compared to Melee simply by the fact it had far less clones and so far SSB4 is following suit which is good. Do note I also want things like Toon Link gone if it's anything like Brawl and if Falco is back, I want him to get the Luigi treatment(ala in Brawl and SSB4 Luigi was no longer a Mario clone like in SSB64 and melee) I don't care for clones, which is my big issue with Melee, Melee did have the best physics and speed though by far.

Brawl had the problem of cheap-skate characters having attacks that provided ridiculous unfair advantages and paved way for abuse, not just the sloppy speed. Balance-wise it was terrible. It also had its share of clone characters -- In fact, it had 3 characters from Star Fox with the exact same moves, nothing different at all, as opposed to Luigi & Mario or Zelda & Peach having unique attacks, they all had the exact same moves. Then there was the tripping mechanics. It's clear that the emphasis was placed on aerial gameplay. Ultimately, because of the rather poor balanced system, usually someone mashing a bunch of buttons together would be enough to beat the foe which is just sad. But that's just how fighting games usually are and Smash Bros. has its charming character roster to go for it.

Indeed. Before I got to see him/her in action I was pretty much like, "WTF is that thing doing in here?" But I liked the moves they showed off in the direct.

Oh I never said Brawl had no clones, I said it had less and while true some characters could be abused, which again was something Project M fixed. Also Metaknight has not been confirmed yet and most likely will not because of complaints.
Also just pressing smash buttons might work on people who not not very good, new or caught off guard but that does not normally work on someone who has played for awhile and knows how the characters work. Abusers exsist in all fighting games, no matter what, Jigglys down B was abused alot in Melee hence it's massive nerf in brawl(which ruined her character so if she is back hopefully they tweak it back so it's useful but not abusable)

I've played enough Online multiplayer in Brawl to know that's not true.

Joking aside, alot of balance issues from Brawl do seem to be gone from SSB4 so I still say give it a chance when it comes out on the Wii-U.

Brawl fanboys are the worst.
The best is when they get mad at you for using project M and yell at you to just play Melee because they misunderstand the whole point of the mod.
I hope kirby isn't an immortal god this time.
I just want to see what Kirby's Little Mac hat will look like.

Yes, thanks for bringing up Kirby because that's particularly one character that cheap-skates would use.
I'll say one good thing about Brawl. It at least had Gamecube Controller compatibility in comparison to most of the disappointing titles on the Wii, which actually made the game playable..

Lol at Samus wearing high-heels, if that isn't out place then I don't know what is.
But I suppose it can't be helped now thanks to that bellend Sakamoto and his skewered idea of what makes a good female character.
