Just keep Bad Box Art Mega Man away from this game.

Anyway, one of my friends picked it up on Wii U. Haven't gotten to play it yet, but I really want to.

Anyone pick up any Amiibos?

I've been practicing with a bunch of characters lately; Greninja, Villager, Mega Man, Ike, Ness, Zelda, etc. I was a little apprehensive at first with the game in general, but it's turned out to be a very good, technical version of Smash at it's core, which has grown on me.

Roy, Ryu & Lucas are now out for Smash Bros... oh and Mewtwo of course but he's been there for a while.

 

I love how Sakurai said there'd be no DLC characters and now 4 has been released already.

Ryu seems pretty legit. Like they ripped him straight out of Street Fighter.

Did he? I remember him saying that they weren't working on anything else whilst Mewtwo was under way and that he didn't think any more would be a very good idea because people might think it was cut content.

Well it was due to Smash Bros that a western audience actually gained interest in the series.

True, and Roy was one of the original ones who generated the interest.

 

I get why they chose lords and why it was Roy/Marth specifically, though it's still kind of amusing that they picked two characters who aren't very good fighters in their own games.

 

Especially Marth. Roy was at least decent after getting the Sword of Seals, but it comes so late it the game and it prevents him from promoting until he gets it.

Firstly Ryu is rad as ****. His moveset is one of the best I've ever played in Smash.

 

And Roy's better as an addition here then Lucina.

Since he's a good middle ground between Marth and Ike.

 

But what happened was, they announced Mewtwo, and the feedback was so good Sakurai was like "Sure, let's make more."

 

We're probably going to get a few more characters since alot of developers are all for having their characters in Smash (Shovel Knight, Shantae, hell even Banjo and Kazooie)

I've always been a Link guy myself.

With Lucina, I dunno. She doesn't have Marth's Tipper, so it just feels like I'm using a weaker Marth.

But I really like how Roy plays when I ran through Classic with him.

And of course I absolutely love how Ryu plays.

I mainly used Roy in Melee, and I generally like Lucina and her higher damage ratio -- I've gotten pretty good with her and Robin so those are my mains along with Fox

Though that's rapidly changing.
