Actually, when I used to play her with Stasis for variety, I gave her 66660. She needs no fitness with good charging habits.
As I explained in the drell thread, actual max grenade cap doesn't really mean anything at all if you know how to circle the board and aim your grenades.
I totally forgot - yeah no fitness is also an option. I personally like to take 3 ranks for melee bonuses, but passive is better.
I'm just flabbergasted people skip stasis on gold or below.
Truthfully, it's not really necessary on her. I just happen to like it a lot.

I tried a full melee build on her once, for funsies. Melee is too slow and has a target cap. Lots of potential, doesn't really work.
And a complete disaster against guardians.

I meant light melee - I like to hit things on occasion, and like it to hurt. 
I agree heavy melee is awkward.

i recently respecced my valkyrie for full melee. it's pretty lulz fun when it works right but she's more squishy. i pretty much need a cyclonic mod 4 so she can get close enough to enemies before eating pavement on gold.
