It is very clever how the arm obfuscates the outline of the body. That lends to the ambiguity of the Inquisitor's sex.

Very nice cover. I was surprised to see it pop up on the official DA Facebook page. Out of all the covers I've seen I think this is by far one of the better ones.

I like the colors.
Doesn't look like a woman to me though. Unless they made it ambiguous...
Dat eyesight of yours. I didn't realize there were some people in it too.
I didn't notice it myself, some others noticed it first. It was a whole conversation and speculation over in the Cullen thread :3 I didn't even notice the dragon until someone else pointed it out, and even after that it took me a good twenty minutes to notice the dragon had wings ![]()

I love the look of it. Though it does remind me of a cover or artwork that would used for 80's Heavy Metal comics. Just you know...minus the half naked female on the cover. Also the outline of the dragon in green energy; really nice touch. ![]()

Very good point.

I love the fact that The Inquisitor isn't obviously either male or female, makes a very welcome change to the usual ^.^
Congratulations from now on we never see person up front, all covers we will see only back. ![]()

How does arm and leg armor look like it would belong to a man? Its gender neutral

I was expecting another cover like DAO or DA2 with a giant red dragon slapped on the cover. This is much cooler.

I'm kinda sad to have lost the whole "blood dragon" motif, but this is pretty good.

Because one would normally not associate the bulkiness of those arms and legs with a woman.

Looks nice I guess, personally would like Inquisitor riding dragon.
Demons: Let as in we fairies.
Inquisitor: Nope.

I think psychology is just playing a trick on you man.
Because it doesn't look overtly female, it therefore looks male. You can hardly be blamed, since female representation in games has usually consisted of hyperbreasts and battlethongs.
I'm actually kind of in agreement with you though. My mind jumps to the conclusion that the figure is male, but I can see the pains they went through to make it relatively ambigous.

Those demons look like they'd be goofy comic relief if this was a movie.
Not really threatening.

Its armor, its going to be bulky regardless to who's in it
It's not only the arms and the back, but also the hands. All these things look very male to me as well.

The armour adds bulk. Most women in heavy armour are indistinguishable from short men.
Add the fact that PC can be one of four races further clouds the issue.

I hope someone confirms the Inquisitor's ambiguity soon, before this thread ends up as 'woman vs man'. ![]()

Doors it matter? Why do you care if people see it as a woman?

There's definitely some demons here that I don't recognize from any DAI art we've seen so far...

Mike tweeted about it an hour ago, actually.
It's deliberately ambiguous, "an uncertain gender was absolutely intended".
