I think it's possible, but I think it's more likely that followers will have unique specs.
Knight Enchanter is a circle mage specialization so it should go with Vivenne, our Circle mage...technically.

Cassandra looks different between DA:I and DA2 as well. In Mass Effect 3, Ashley Williams was altered. Seems like the artists are reinterpreting what Leliana looks like as well. So is it that you don't like the way it looks because you don't like the way it looks or because she doesn't match the original (DAO) Leliana?

Trailer and characters look pretty nice! The bearded Warden guy looks like he'd be a regular on my team if I played this one day.
I did recognize it was supposed to be Leliana, although she does look different (which is more than I can say for not-Ash in ME3 
).
And I guess it's due to my lack of Dragon Age interest after DA2 that I have no idea who this Cole character is? He from the books?
@Wothen That's who I meant... the blonde guy that some people are calling Cole. Considering he is the background and Solas is in the forefront, I'm assuming "Cole" is in the Judas position. I haven't read Asunder so I don't know if he would be a likely candidate to betray someone or not.
Finally got to see the trailer with audio and not scrunched-up on my phone. Went outta my way to go to the campus computer lab for it, and it did not disappoint. Rewatched it ~ten times, giddily.

Companions have never had unique specs. Some of them are unique in name but none of them have been unique in implementation.
Tevinter has Circles, they're just not affiliated with the Chantry.
Actually they sort of did. Varric's spec was unique. The others had mixed specs from DA2 or previous games: Merrill had blood magic mixed with Awakening Keeper for example, Aveline was based on DAO Guardian which wasn't available to the player in DA2, etc.
And I really doubt that Vivienne, a pro-circle mage, would be a Necromancer or a Rift Mage if companions have player usable spec.

I've got to say, I was never into the Dragon Age franchise as much as the Mass Effect franchise. However, after following this game and these forums for the last few months, as well as these trailers, there's only one thing to say:

Ding! It's the same crap I heard about Morrigan as well as Cassandra. Time has moved on, there is a new engine and let's not worry about it as much. You can tell it's her, and she looks awesome.
