I suddenly I have impulse to play DA2.

 

What is that tusked, troll-like creature in the trailer? Have we seen it before?

I'm guessing it's just a "natural" monster then and not any sort of demon. I've yet to complete anything beyond Origins so the lack of Darkspawn in this game confuses me. I haven't seen that much of DA2, either, mind you.

Because a veil tear to me personally is a very ambiguous thing unlike the darkspawn for example.

Apparently, while Morrigan seems to have gotten a bit fugly over the years, Leliana has aged like a fine wine. I hope she has the same voice actor, I liked her cute accent.

I thought it was drop-dead gorgeous, and shows off Next-Gen graphics at its high point.

So the inquisitor survives a supernatural/magical blast, and comes out with supernatural powers. Easy there, Fantastic Four.(Or inFAMOUS)

Some very serious fire effects with ye olde Dragon. Overall that's one hell of a good-looking trailer, and is the one I'd expect people to get the most excited over.

All I see when I hear that voice is Ser Thrask from DA 2.  But I could be wrong.  Sounds familiar.

Exactly. Same rules as stage, film and television. "Blocking." Showing some characters' backs and obscuring other characters doesn't make for a dynamic image. They're standing, not sitting, and they're a person short of matching the Last Supper painting. People are just seeing what they want to see.

I'm not gonna lie, the shot reminded me of the last supper. But I wasn't like 'OH MAN LOOK COLE OR VARRIC OR BALD GUY IS GONNA KILL US IN OUR SLEEP WTF BIOWER WIF UR RELGIOSLY STUFF!'

I hope that something is written into DHMG's dialogue where Varric asks him about nicknames or something and he's like "Step off Varric you punk!" while talking with his hands, then Varric is like "What? You don't think Dramatic Hands Mustache Guy of the Inquisition works?"

Trailer looks good and shiny, but how is this a gameplay trailer? Still seems more cutscene than gameplay to me. Maybe no gameplay yet, because I thought the animations in what little we saw of the fighting looked a bit odd.

 

I find it rather ironic that yesterday Bioware was being praised over here for the "gender ambiguous" cover (still looked like a dude to me, but okay) and the next day they release another trailer with generic male human inquisitor. So much for inclusion. If they want to insist on using a male poster boy, it would have been nice if they at least made him look interesting. Trailer Hawke had that going for him.
