Oh look. Another abomination companion. And still no tempalr companion.
My excitement is off the charts.

yay.

DMHG? - WTF is that? (need an explanation - have been reading that a lot of times but I didn't want to ask...)
As for Cole? - Not really excited, as we might meet his mage "friend" (that whimp Rhys, who could only be bothered to fight for his freedom after they killed a lot of his friends and - indirectly - his mother...)
As for "Dorian" - Who is that? (i hope you are not talking about the guy that kept Fiona (Grand-Enchanter, Grey Warden and current leader of the mages) for a pet?)
greetings LAX
"DHMG"/Dorian is the guy in the war table shot with the mustache next to Iron Bull, the big Qunari guy. "DHMG" stands for "dramatic hands mustache guy". It's because of how he was portrayed in a concept art early on. He's suspected to be a Tevinter magister named Dorian that opposes corruption in his home country, do to a companion profile leak of a character by that name some time ago along, with concept art in the same leak.
He'd also have to be a spirit to match up with the trinity THAT'S WHY HE HAS A GLOWY HAND GUYS.
Holy hell, it all makes sense now! ![]()
mages, abominations, neutral guys and one Seeker who is kind of templary.. ish?
i'm not counting advisors, cuz... i cannot imagine them being vital in any way. advice is something optional... and usually ignored.
it would be awesome to have someone like Meridith/Lambert in party
Didn't Greg Ellis confirm that Cullen was a companion?
Didn't Greg Ellis confirm that Cullen was a companion?
Nope, only that there'd be companionship. Everything hints at Cullen being an advisor.
I would have prefered a templar companion rather than another Warden or another spirit or mage.

Well we have Cassandra and Cullen will play a large role if not a companion. I am hoping that Cole will not be like Anders, Wynn was great and Justice was ok too so I am not going to expect the worst.
Vivienne is also a staunch pro-Circle mage, so technically she counts in the favor of Templar supporters more than mage supporters if you ask me.
Even assuming that's Cullen, he hardly looks like a Templar anymore, does he?
The line at the end with the spread of characters is "whatever we were before, now we are the Inquisition" so I doubt any of them are primarily with their old factions.
I suspect that Cassandra, Leliana, Cullen, and scribe girl were all together from the beginning as loyalists to the Divine, we know Cassandra didn't leave with the other seekers at least. Hence why they come together to help form the Inquisition (With Varric tagging along). Actually, if the Inquisition's core founding starts with disaffected Templars and Seekers, that might explain the choice of the name. The line at the end with the spread of characters is "whatever we were before, now we are the Inquisition" so I doubt any of them are primarily with their old factions.

You should read the Ausgamer interview... unless you don't want to be spoiled by who come up with the idea to create the Inquisition.

Assuming that he's still a templar...No "sword of mercy" insignia on his outfit any more, unlike in the survey.
And if I hear someone say, "Cassandra is a Seeker, that's a Templar enough, right?" I will scream.

Basically, the information for what I'm thinking is in the link that azarhal posted. I think Cassandra basically has left the seekers, or at least does very soon after the game starts.
I like this line-up very much, I think they'll all have interesting roles even the ones who aren't companions but will suggestively have decent roles to play (Leliana, Cullen and Scribe Girl).
Will likely be using my Inquisitor, Iron Bull, Cole and one of the mages as my main party.
In the Ausgamers feature article, Cameron Lee says that there are "three main pillars" to the Inquisition: military, espionage and political. He says that Leliana will lead the espionage part and another (unnamed) character will lead the military part.
So my guess is that the nine armed characters shown in the picture (excluding the Inquisitor) are the traveling companions, and Cullen, Leliana and "Scribe Girl" are the leaders of the three pillars.
Leliana: Espionage (confirmed)
Cullen: Military
"Scribe Girl": Political

Got my ear plugs ready, so let her rip
Wow, Cullen and the warden are huge, almost as big as Iron Bull.
I'm worried about Cole as companion. He was annoying in Asunder and I really have trouble with imagine him as companion.
Has Cullen been fully confirmed as a companion yet? If so, then that is probably him, if not, could the guy on the far left be Alistair?

That is indeed Cullen, but not a companion.
12 people in the picture apart from the inquisitor, 9 have weapons, 3 don't. 9 party members.

It looks like rather than being a companion, he's an Inquisition advisor. There are 12 characters in that scene (besides the Inquisitor), but only nine companions. Three of them have to be other major NPCs, and Cullen, Leliana and the lady wearing gold are the only ones not holding weapons.
Also, yes, that is Cullen. He's wearing almost the same outfit as in some leaked concept art from a few years ago.
(And Alistair can be dead, remember? Not to mention that he'd hardly join the Inquisition if he's the King of Ferelden
)

It's Cullen but he's probably advisor.
