There we go-

Dorthea: You know how we had sex several years ago after I rescued you?
Leliana: Yes, Reverend Mother, but that was a mistake...
Dorthea: There's something I need to show you. *brings out little girl* This is your daughter.
Leliana: Are you feeling well Reverend Mother? Maybe you need to rest a bit? That's not my child.
Dorthea: It is. The Maker blessed our union.
Leliana: ...wow.
Dorthea: This child must be kept a secret from those who would harm her. Also, there will be no slacking off on your paternal duties. In order to keep her safe and happy, you must become one of my agents.
Leliana: This is all happening so fast! I'll need time to think this over.
Dorthea: You can have time to think about it after you assassinate this minor noble who's been speaking against me. Now say goodbye to your father, Matilda.
Little Girl: My name is Brittina.
Dorthea: Whatever.

I rather like it... and I take it you don't think too much of Justinia.

Judging by Leliana's Song and Asunder, Justinia's a better person than that.

Good person or bad. No one become a master of the Game without being manipulative, opportunistic, and a touch ruthless.

Perhaps, but Leliana and Dorothea strike me as being of similar ideals and temperment.  I don't think Dorothea would need to screw with her head. unless it was strictly for the lulz.  Which as I said, she seems above such pettiness.

Though Leliana has a bit of a debt to Dorothea I don't think she would blindly follow her after what happened with Marjolaine.  And like Lakus said it seems they have a lot of similar ideals.

Remember that not a lot of people wanted Dorothea to become the Divine and we're told it's because of her past but I also think it's because she's a bit more of a forward thinker.

I will admit that it was an extremely smart move on her part to rescue Leliana, she not only got to get back at Marjolaine through it but also gained a very valuable ally.

Idk I can't help but ship Dorothea and Leliana a tiny bit for some reason. Yeah I know, it bothers me too sometimes.

Leliana meets powerful and charismatic woman who shows her some kindness, and who also likes other women.

Leliana ends up killing a bunch of people for her.

If nothing else, our bard is consistent.

Are you talking about Justinia, Marjolaine, your Warden, or your Inquisitor?

Well her not feeling comfortable with saying it does mean she has different feelings, I mean it doesn't mean she doesn't love him, but she doesn't feel as comfortable for sure.

Either way it certainly shows that she (if the hair conversation didn't) handles her relationships with women far more forwardly, while with men she's a bit more passive.

Well she is a bard, so maybe she knows some guys prefer women to be passive. So she is putting on that role..I hope DAI reveals the reason why she was ret-conned from the grave..and what 'major part' she is supposed to have.

my headcannon is that if she "died' in the game, it was so people wouldn't figure out that she was the same person as sister nightingale.

I'd wager the 'major part' is her involvement in the Inquisition.

Yeah that's not a bad idea, and I could see that.

I'd wager the 'major part' is her involvement in the Inquisition.

but they could have replaced her with someone else. There must be a bigger reason.

Before someone says it:
You could decapitate Zevran and then have a conversation with him.
You could decapitate Loghian and then have him join your group.

It's a random animation and not something the system tracks at all.

Howe too. He dies regardless, but based on that logic he shouldn't talk.
I can understand the problem people have with her supposed death in general in the temple, but the decapitated reason is just unreasonable.

Someone mentioned in another thread that given that Leliana is in charge of the covert and espionage side of the Inquisition, she must be comfortable getting her hands dirty. That would imply a somewhat more amoral mindset than what she displayed in Origins.

I am wondering if she'll be 'hardened' even if we didn't so in Origins. Her personality might be more ruthless and determined even before the Redcliff events.

We could even see her doing things like suggesting torture of prisoners for intel or assassinations of people who aren't bad per se but stand in the Inquisition's way.

How would you feel if Leliana made 'evil' suggestions, or was comfortable with cruel acts to further the organization's goals? Would you feel betrayed or unhappy at all?

I won't, because I hardened her in a lot of playthroughs, and I see it as an interesting character development.

It wouldn't bother me really I always wanted to harden Leliana but I hated what you had to say her in the dialogue options so I never did it. I wouldn't really feel betrayed I understand a lot has happened since the end of Dragon Age Origins and its been 10 years and people change.

Well idk about torture... I don't see her resulting to that hardened or not being a victim of it.

It wouldn't bother me. As my spymaster, I expect her to suggest things that are morally questionable. Whether or not I'll follow her advice in these matters will depend on situation in question.

I occurs to me that Leliana could be one of the fabled intelligent 'evil' characters in RPGs, or in BioWare games specifically. At the same time, I kept Leliana softened and liked that she felt like a character with a heart of gold.

Whatever the case, I hope they keep her spirituality. I was listening to some old youtube videos of conversations with her and it struck me that she is one of the best positive representations of a highly devout person in video games.

I found myself thinking that I wished more people in the real world approached religion the way she does. Leliana both draws strength from her faith and expresses it in a beautiful way.

I think her religious/spiritual side will be the same as in DAO.

Yes, they do.

I'm sorry if it sounded like I was suggesting otherwise. :)
