The worst part is that even if she gets back with the Warden, the Calling is not that far off...
I keep trying to ignore that little lore tidbit that Wardens during Blights don't last very long even as far as Wardens go.

Although that could cause other problems in the relationship...

realistically speaking yep (However, we do not know how avernus did it blood magic or mixture that allow you take control over your taint) , i doubt that devs will focus what would break her relationship with warden if that was in case there wouldn't be this relationship in my da 2 pt.

That's assuming Bioware decides to use his research to prolong the Warden's life, which in turn requires them to bring the Warden back as either the protagonist or an npc.
I'm not sure they really care to continue the Warden'a story at this point. Not when there's plenty of other stories and protagonists to write about.
All I want is for the Warden to get a definitive ending. Or, a second definitive ending as it happens. They don't even have to appear. Or survive. Just something final.
The Warden and Leliana will make a last stand against the demons to buy the Inquisitor time to slay the Big Bad. They will be overwhelmed, but they will be able to reach out and grasp each other's hand as their life ends.
Would that be good?

No, that would also suck.
I differ from Snook in that I want them both to survive and prosper.

Hey, I never said I don't want that...I'll just accept it if things go awry for dear old Warden.
I've become hollow to these things.
I, in that case, will set my Warden to romance someone else, and continue rooting for the Cassandra ship.

Well warden is blank rpg protagonist it isn't necessary to bring him back his ending was already open when we completed first game and in fact is should stay that was because bioware never will be able to put the warden we have created into game or even explain what he was doing for 7 years as what warden was doing was up to us. I rly hope just leave him alone and by that won't destroy our characters.
I want my warden and Leliana to survive and I don't want the warden to die off screen
That's got to be the cheapest of all cheap tricks. If they die, fine. If they survive, great! But if they just disappear... Boo!
The worst part is that even if she gets back with the Warden, the Calling is not that far off...
Actually it is, Alistair said in 9:30 Dragon that you have 30 years to live (give or take), so if the game will start in 9:40 Dragon, that means that the Warden will be alive for around 20 more years, not to mention that the Elven Gray Warden mage has supposedly found a way to cancel the "Calling".
It's funny. I don't care really care about what happens to my Wardens at all after Origins (and its DLC). To me, they're soulless puppets and forty percent of their potential thoughts are about how old Wynne and Flemeth are. I'm fine with them dying or disappearing so (among other things) their love interests can move on and still have a part in the story. I wouldn't mind if players had the opportunity to "romance" former companions they romanced in a previous game with a new character, although I probably wouldn't do this.
BUT I am bummed out that all the other potential Wardens in Origins met with nasty ends because Duncan wasn't there to recruit them or whatever. I can't help but associate those poor, doomed souls with other characters I've created.
Is it just me, or have BioWare changed Leliana's eye color? Her eyes were blue in Origins, but here (http://www.dragonage...ile-260x260.jpg) they look brown.

It's a bug. Varric and Cassandra ended up with red hair too at some point. Her eyes will be blue in the game.

OK, thanks.
Hopefully, Leliana will shed some light on what happened to the Warden as we talk with her during the game.
I still very much do care about my Warden. I just don't mind tragic endings. Not to say it's what I want, but it would be better than staying disappeared.
It'd probably be an off screen death though, which I agree would be terribly underwhelming.
On advantage of "they disappeared" is that it's open ended...
It's also a disadvantage depending on who you talk to. Those who want closure hate not having a definitive answer. So, whatever happens, somebody's going to be disappointed.
I'd rather they brought the Warden & Hawke back from their disappearance, and that had them go off in the epilogue to do whatever is they would have been doing had it not been for that disappearance.
Following that, there is no reason to ever see the Warden or Hawke again. We don't need any magical disappearances as an explanation for why they aren't appearing in a sequel. Let's say the next game is set in Nevarra, for example. Why would the Warden-Commander of Ferelden or the Viscount of Kirkwall be in Nevarra? They've-got-business-elsewhere works far better as an explanation for why the character's are in a sequel than some lame disappearing act.
I'm prepared for the Warden's death. It will be sad, but I will deal.
