The latest version of her look is the best one yet if you ask me, mysterious and smexy as all get out.

Heh. Player appeal competing with player jealousy. I love it on an intellectual level: 'she loves me, but I'm not me, I'm someone else now, so she's cheating on me with me!'
Heehee. I hope Bioware dares to try that one day: have a love interest from a previous game be a love interest for a different player character in a sequel in which the first PC has gone missing. The variances between 'has had a previous romance' and 'never been romanced before' might make the writing too budget-consuming to do, but I think you could get some interesting things in such a context. Imagine if, when romanced by the first PC, her second romance is more of a manipulative/exploitative misdirection to get the new PC to help her find the old PC? So she would leave you in the end, possibly regretfully and with an apology, to go back to the original LI. Or that could be her plan, but she finds herself being torn between them because 'something is familiar' and she finds herself confused.
Good, no?
And in the end, she can't choose and goes with nether of them; both the old and new PCs hearts get crushed.
Sure, why not.

Well, I for one am not interested in cheating on myself.
Oh, I've done worse.
Back in the old BSN in the ME forums, I made a topic raising an ME4 sequel character of an Asari daughter of Liara who claimed to be the daughter of Liara and Commander Shepard. The crux of the character was that while there was circumstantial evidence or context to suggest that could be the case, there was no real proof: she could prove she was Liara's daughter, but whether she was actually related to the galaxy's greatest hero or just claiming the name was the cornerstone of her character arc. Ultimately she never finds evidence one way or the other, and would either hold the identity internally or wear it openly as an expression of her coming to terms with the uncertainty of her heritage.
Man, you should have heard the wails and nashing of teeth. Liara fans hated the idea that she couldn't be proven to be Shepard's daughter, and thus could have been Liara and some other person. The idea of Liara not being faithful to Shepard and pining for no other companionship for the other 900 years of her life was about as popular as the fans of other LIs, who hated the idea that someone else could claim to be Shepard's child.
I think I loved the reaction as much as the idea.

Well if BioWare runs out of fan tears they might end up doing that.

"Pirates are monsters" seems a tad mundane to say considering the time and enviroment hey were usually from. It wasn't a world like the one today.
Not saying that makes it right, but they were a element of their time, just as Vikings raiding British monestaries.
Actually, the feeling extends all the way back to Roman times:

Hostes humani generis="enemies of the human race"
As for Leliana, I wonder if she'll have any stories to tell of Warden. Especially if she was the LI.

I can't see Leliana in another romance if she is with the Warden from DAO. If she happens to be one, then I will have to do a playthrough not romancing her in DAO just to romance her in DAI

However since Leliana is apparently the most romanced character in Origins, i somewhat doubt she'll be an option either way ![]()

She could be the most romanced character in Inquisition too.
I think it's an achievement to strive for...would look nice on a resume.

Well I did have one thought: Is it possible the armoured boots are so big because she's wearing her fancy shoes underneath? Seems like a respectful compromise for an Orlesian.
Maybe Leliana got so tired of Vivienne trying to one-up her shoes she wore the boots just to throw her. Now Vivienne can't decide if Leliana has lost her mind, or if she has some privileged information about a current fashion trend in Val Royeaux and it's driving Vivi mad. Leliana is sneaky like that.

Lol now I wish we had some fashion banter between Vivi and Leliana, and then Cass will just role her eyes and the 2 look at her armor with absolute horror lol That would be so fun to see.

I believe they have outright stated that LIs for previous characters (like the Warden and the Champion) will not be available to later characters. Even Gaider is not that cruel.

Leliana could still be a bit flirty if the occasion presents itself, though. Right?

If you didn't romance her in DA:O i'd imagine so.
Maybe even if you did romance her in DA:O and she was hardened.

I just realized that both of the Warden's female love interests will be in DAI. Fascinating, as Spock would say.

It's possible, I suppose.
But she was quite devoted to Divine Justina (who likely saved Leliana's life after Marjolaine's betrayal). If she does die, that would likely hit Leliana pretty hard.

If she does die in that explosion-thingy at the start, I'm curious why Leliana wasn't there with her? What else was she doing?

Alistair is supposed to appear too.
Well, if alive, I guess

As a Hand of the Divine, and bard-trained at that, just about anything, really.

Sure, but I'd imagine the Divine would want Leliana close by during the big important meeting to assess potential threats and all that.

Maybe, but her training as a spy and assassin would be useful in the field as well.
I mean, if the Templars aren't present, Leliana might be out there trying to find out why.

I wouldn't expect her to mope for the whole game - which seems like it must take place over a decent amount of time. Leliana likes to put on a light-hearted facade even when things are grim, I think.

Maybe.
But then Leliana's Song wasn't exactly a bundle of laughs.

If Alistair is alive in your playthrough, there are 3 of the Warden's possible romances, all with a bigger role than a cameo (it was confirmed for Alistair too).
