I believe I know why some get an anti-mage feel from Leliana in the Redcliff part of the demo. Just before she says that line about how people shouldn't have this power, she says "and mages always wonder why people fear them."

It's funny.. I noticed in a DAO playthrough recently with her banter with Shale. When she was trying to say pigeons and other birds were OK. Then she makes a case for Nightingales specifically. I kind of wonder if they always had this role set out for her to begin with.

Fun fact: female nightingales are mute. Only the males sing. The implications are... interesting.

*Also I don't consider it much of an update but Leliana has been confirmed to not be a romanceable character multiple times but since it keeps seeming to pop up I'm putting this here. I repeat Leliana is not romanceable by the inquisitor.*

Yeah it's not like Corinne Kempa (Leliana's va) does countless commercial voice overs for France.... nah no way.... and it's not like its the same voice actress either or anything...
This reminds me of a date I went on with some guy and then he proceeded to say similar things about Corinne... I just completely went silent for the rest of the date it was pretty humorous.

Just got done watching the Part 2 Demo and it was a little sad to hear Leliana voice anti-mage sentiment. My canon Warden was a mage and he romanced Leliana. I hope I have the option of brining that up to her.

She was just tortured by them for an undeterminable amount of time. She may cool off later. And you don't even have to send her so she'll never get tortured and thus not feel that way.

What? Leliana was hailed as a good French accent by almost everybody I've ever seen. Isolde was the one seen with the bad accent.

Reminds me of a story where the dude who played Wormtongue in LOTR walked around the set one day using his American accent and the guy who played Theoden told him it was the worst fake American accent he ever heard.

Well to be honest she is right and if you had her in your party in dao she saw zathrian curse , connor destroying Redcliffe , and broken circle and what avernus did then we have wilhelm.For next 10 years she was dealing with them and destruction they have caused Anders blow up chantry and insane mages were on rampage.Then they start destroy veil and devastate everything on their path.And that only few of their antics through 10 years timeline.Pretty much at this point most of peoples would start think the same well even much before.

You know, it'd have been much more unsettling if she'd been all giggling and nug-loving as she was at times in Origins.
Yes, she was a soft , giggling girl in Dragon Age:Origins. But now we can see how much harder she is, a totally different Leliana now. One could say even ruthless. I did say ruthless...not roofless
