Who else could open a tear in the veil? I'm honestly confused how someone with no magic ability could do that. Maybe whoever did it was not aligned with the mage side of the war, but it had to be a mage or several who opened that.

Don't veil tears get created on places where alot of deaths have happend? I think the antagonists caused that explosion to kill everyone at the conference in the hopes that the breach would happen.

You may be right. Still, I'm 100% sure there were mages involved.

Yup, they would be the only ones to have the power to manipulate the DA universe in such a way.

Well it still would be have to be mage to cause such explosion...

Non-mages can do magic.

The Anvil of the Void? The various enchantments on your weapons and armor? Rogues and warriors both have specializations built around blood magic and spirits/the fade.

Even dwarves can cast magic rituals.

I think so as well, but who knows.

But on this level? Being able knock somebody down is a far cry from tearing the sky open.

I'm guessing you didn't take Oghran to the sacred ashes. He tells you it's the largest and richest deposit of lyrium he's even encountered.

The only other time we see anyone work with lyrium on that magnitude is Caradin at the Anvil of the Void. He wasn't a mage.

Edit: It would be funny if Sandel caused the Breach.

hmm, I just realized that Oghren might have sensed red lyrium. That would explain the ghosts so well...

I did take Oghren once and I remember. But what does that have to do with opening the breach? I'm guessing the lyrium could have been used to fuel the explosion, with the resulting deaths fueling the tear, but I find it unlikely that there would be no mages involved in something of that magnitude. The mastermind might not be a mage, but I would be surprised if there were none involved.

If he did cause the Breach I'm so ending him.

I should've known Sarcastic Hawke would be a bad influence.

In Awakening, there is a dwarf that makes explosives out of lyrium that pack a punch. Imagine a mountains made of lyrium. All you need is the knowledge to start a chain reaction.

It would be the ultimate irony if,  after losing simpathy for mages, Leliana found out that the disaster was not caused by mages.

Is there anyone else loving the new Leliana? I read somewhere that you might not put her through that whole ordeal in Redcliff, as it depends on your choices. I really don't want her to die!

Of course I love her! I'm just concerned about her having lost her zest for life. Part of her charm was her optimism. It's sad to see it gone.

I personally hope that this is the case personally.

I see what you mean but I think she's tougher now and more pragmatic. I do think she's still sweet and depending on how the inquisitor interacts with her, we will see her sweet side again.

And the cherry on top if the Inquisitor is mage... The idea absolutely has potential...

I hate necromancers in every setting. A bunch of nasty bastards, the whole lot. :D

That term got so abused over time. Necromancy was originally a form of divination. Namely, the ability to converse with dead spirits to learn stuff from them. Then somebody decided to trap the spirits in dead bodies. Jerk...
