Sure, but I'd imagine the Divine would want Leliana close by during the big important meeting to assess potential threats and all that.

Probably where Csss was, or probably away on business. Leli is afterall a spy who goes undercover(as we saw in MoA and DA2) Remember The Divine had already planned for Plan B before the peace summit so it's possible the Divine wanted Leli and Cass not to close in case something did happen,

I haven't read all posts so I apologize if this has already been mentioned, but have you considered the possibility of a reunion between the warden and a (romanced) Leliana in DA:I?

 

IMO (assuming the warden does make an appearance in Inqusition) it's actually not that unlikely and could make for a very sweet moment.

It's interesting that neither the left nor right hand of the Divine was there at the important peace conference.

Given the events at Kirkwall, at least Cassandra would want to stick close.

I got the impression that DAI picks up only a few weeks after DA2.  Cassandra gets back from Kirkwall with Varric and goes "Wait, WHAT happened while I was gone?"

Indeed. I suspect she's more serious in Inquisition, but we'll hopefully still see the quirky side of her. That was the main reason i fell for her in Origins.

Well technically Ferelden bard i suppose.

 She's both. Her mother was of Ferelden lineage so she has Ferelden genetic qualities, however she was raised Orlesian and knows that culture far better then Ferelden's

And why she need to it is rather private thing don't you think?

She mentioned her/him already in da 2 when she was working as divine spy and tell peoples she didn't know potentially dangerous so i think that should be enough...

Heh. Player appeal competing with player jealousy. I love it on an intellectual level: 'she loves me, but I'm not me, I'm someone else now, so she's cheating on me with me!'

 

Heehee. I hope Bioware dares to try that one day: have a love interest from a previous game be a love interest for a different player character in a sequel in which the first PC has gone missing. The variances between 'has had a previous romance' and 'never been romanced before' might make the writing too budget-consuming to do, but I think you could get some interesting things in such a context. Imagine if, when romanced by the first PC, her second romance is more of a manipulative/exploitative misdirection to get the new PC to help her find the old PC? So she would leave you in the end, possibly regretfully and with an apology,  to go back to the original LI. Or that could be her plan, but she finds herself being torn between them because 'something is familiar' and she finds herself confused.

Reminds me of that Futurama episode where Bender tricked Angleyne into cheating on "him" by pretending to his doppleganger Flexo, leading her to comment that perhaps she only fell back in love with Flexo because she deep down knew that it was Bender.

Leliana being torn between her feelings for both me as the Warden and me as the Inquisitor... well, if nothing else, that'd be an amusing plot twist and some good ego stroking for the player, eh?

Well we don't know how much she will get time on screen besides that we already know her backstory not mention there is still little reason to spread around with who she was sleeping same for morrigan well because with alistair as queen it isn't big secret and zevran as far i remember was telling everyone that you have spend night with him.

Leliana looks pretty incredible from what we saw of her in the trailer and although Cassandra is undoubtedly my favourite in the game from what I've seen so far, I'm still disappointed that Leliana is not a romance option.
