Would something like this be too much to ask for? I doubt anyone got all excited when they saw this in The Witcher 2.

Wouldn't count on it, Bioware has been Censoring more and more since Mass Effect  1.  They must have hired a bunch of prune Christian republicans on their staff or something...

So here is the actual Mass Effect 3 sex scene, which seems to have just as much nudity as the Mass Effect 1 scene

But yes, BioWare is full of Christian Canadian Republican 'prunes.'

so I've been playing DA:O recently and

L: I'd hate to be apart from you. You are the first thing I see in the morning, the last thing I see at night. I don't want that to change.

W: I love you, and would follow you to the ends of the earth.

L: Oooh, how dramatic. I'm going to hold you to your word, I mean it.

...I has a sad now.

Not to mention Bioware has said they aren't doing the underwear scenes anymore but more like the linked video of just using shadows and clever camera angles to hide all the naughty bits.

FYI EA bought Bioware they're US now which explains a lot of the censorship, when they were Canadian they were Kick*** the US ruined them.

Because the people who work are are citizens of Canada, and thus Canadian.

Also, don't insult groups of people. It's against the rules of the site.

Censorship isn't restricted to just the US,but in terms of nudity and whatnot it gets really ridiculus.

I don't even see the point in having a lot of nudity in the sex scenes. Is it more immersive? Tasteful? Or do people just want to be aroused or something?

Because if that last one's the case, there's lots of stuff for that on the internet.
For me a romance is more about how it develops, emotionally. Sure, I like a good sex scene in a game just as much as the next guy, but I don't NEED it.

You gotta admit that the underwear thing in DAO was just silly... The fade to black in DA2 was a better way to handle it. And well, pervs will be pervs. :P

Oh yeah, DA2 did a better job, but iirc, that had like no nudity at all. Whereas Origins stripped companions down to their undies.

That was my point. Either do a fade to black after some kissing, hugging, wrestling (that Isabela scene), or go commando, but the undies thing just made me go: buwha? How are they... with their underwear on? That must chafe... Weird.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think most of their studios and employees are in/come from the US now.  And fine than EA ruined them, EA doesn't count as people do they?

Yeah, I'm with you, DA2's way of doing things was far more pleasing to the eyes than... whatever Origins did.

Agreed, though I don't think there's anything wrong with nudity either.

You are wrong. They only have one studio in the US and two studios in Canada. The one working on the DA franchise is in Canada.

And the people who work for EA are still people so yes they count.

And from the Site Rules:

  • Attacks on groups: Attacking groups of people, companies, or user locations, including, but not limited to, home countries, is prohibited.

I stand corrected than, I'll just take your word for it.

FYI the EA thing was a joke.
