With all that has happened to her over the last 10 years it is hardly surprising to see that she has changed, she has lost people dear to her, that would change anyone. Plus yunno with the world crumbling all around her yup this is also a big factor. Meh I'm looking forward to seeing this more hardened Leliana myself.

Have you checked out the new Dark Horse TR comics yet? Are those even out? I'll prob get em at some point, I don't read comics really, the only ones I have bothered with are the ME ones.

Yes I have.

 

Newest issue came out today (#6) gonna go pick it up. I have all the ones released so far. The first 6 issues are going to be released in a collection book in November.

 

They're decent. The art is... kind of bad but the writing is good.   I don't read a lot of comics... but I do read graphic novels and some manga... most comics I read are tie ins aside from some Wonder Woman stuff.

I'm really looking forward to the music in DAI.  I hope it's awesome and fits the situation it's elaborating.  I will be very disappointed indeed if it is the situation.

just listening to the theme for DAI, I love it, sounds like something you'd hear off a GoT soundtrack, pretty epic tune. And I loved the theme song of DAO too.

I really dig the new composer, but I hope he brings back Aubrey Ashburne. (the main vocalist on the old soundtracks.)

 

I've kind of come to regard her voice as the 'staple' of the DA soundtrack, more or less.

That's an excellent question, and one the games fail to answer in a satisfactory manner.

I can listen to a piece of music and say 'This sounds like Jade Empire' or 'This sounds like Star Wars.' I can't do that with Mass Effect or Dragon Age, though ME is still much better.

Then again, three games in and Dragon Age still seems to be struggling to be visually distinct.


The most memorable piece of music from Dragon Age II is I'm Not Calling You a Liar by Florance and the Machine. The most memorable pieces of music from DA:O were elven ballads that would have felt right at home in Lord of the Rings.

 

I'm also a big fan of Vigil as well.

Ah, Vigil. The first thing I was met by when I booted up ME1 for the first time all those years ago and jumped into an entire new galaxy to explore, one that has given me so many memories. It just embodies the curiosity of man, "to boldly go where no man has gone before", stepping into the vast blackness of space, hopeful about all the wonders you'll find.

I would guess that since Cole becomes visible to anyone in the fade they didn't send him because they were halfway in the fade. Remember that courtyard shot? Cole/Spirit would have been totally exposed to everyone in that half-realm state, especially the mages who tore the veil open in the first place.

And who knows, maybe the breach has disrupted his powers somehow to make him conveniently less OP for the game. Or maybe we haven't met him yet.
