I don't mind rap from Vivienne, or preferably jazz and blues

I just meant I know nothing about rap, like very very little so I'd be a bad judge of any rap battle no matter who is rapping, my whiteness is powerful right now!  But hey Leliana could be the Eminem of DA for all I know. She has the hood look down anyway. :P

Yes well, between her DLC and Inquisiton, this happened:

Betrayal by Marjolaine.

Torture and possibly rape.

Fifth Blight (with hundred year old curses, slavery, regicide, etc.)

Chantry blown up by crazy mage dude

Mage-Templar War

Major explosion at a peace conference that possibly killed the Divine (a personal friend and mentor).

Sky torn open and demons pouring out.

I would have been surprised if her attitude hadn't changed, to be honest.

Well said.

Also just because Leliana has a sweet and charming disposition, or found piety between Leliana's Song and DA:O, doesn't mean she is either naive or innocent. I'm not sure why some people came away with that impression considering her past as bard and some of her dialogue with the Warden. She admits to sleeping with targets for example, although it isn't stated whether this was a form of spycraft or a setup for assassination. She only notes that they may have complained after, but never during.  B)

In either case, she is far from being naive and innocent.

Chee said already in the interview that Lels still has a soft side she just only shows it to people she trusts anyway.

I hope she still has Schmooples and that she tells us the story of how she got him. Or maybe she found out Schmooples was a girl... I want that option in the Keep!

Obtained a nug for Leliana.

It was probably the giggling.

Chee also noted that the carefree, cheerful Leliana is gone. "Even if she wanted to show that side of her personality, she can't."

She is(or was?) also compassionate and kind - always asking to spare lives of enemies who fought or even tried to assassinate her. She always favoured noble and selfless deeds. You can't really say it was just a mask.

And that article is sourced back to the official interview, which is more along the lines of...

...She’s not as carefree. Even if she wanted to show that side of her personality, she can’t.

[DA]: Why’s that?

[SC]: She’s a high-ranking member of the Inquisition with a great deal of responsibility, and she has to present herself a certain way for the Inquisition’s sake. However, if you prove that you're trustworthy, and that you understand where she's come from, she might let her guard down a little.

I think whoever wrote that article might have exaggerated that part a bit. She can't show that side because her demeanor is mostly business around the Inquisitor and others, unless you befriend her I assume.

The bolded part doesn't look promising.

I actually like the darker side of Leliana myself, don't get me wrong I do appreciate her adorableness too but I love the steel she possesses as well. Hence why I always harden her.

Y'know I might have considered hardening her at least once, if it didn't require me to essentially tell her she's just like the woman who betrayed her, stabbed her in the gut and threw her in prison.

That always rubbed me the wrong way, and I couldn't see any of my Wardens ever saying any of that. Meh. I wish there was some other way to go about it.

I don't remember hardening her by telling her she was like Marjolaine. More along the lines of her simply not beign a chantry sister.

Then again, its been quite a while since I played the game.

I see it as being firm with Leliana. Marjolaine had it coming and I didn't like coddling her like that, she enjoyed her former life yunno up until she was betrayed and left for dead. Sure she found some comfort and something to believe in again with the Chantry but she liked the bard life, the excitement it brought, I just nudge her to come to this conclusion in my runs.

Urgh, I'm having the worst luck with Leliana right now.

I was remaking my DA Canon in time for Inquisition and I opened a romance with both Morrigan and Leliana. My plan to be forced on the spot by Leliana after giving her the flower in Redcliff and letting her down amicably but something ocurred that had never before.

I was forced on the spot by Morrigan in Orzammar and picked her because this didn't break the romance with Leliana except it did this time. Leliana approached me with a dialogue I had never heard before; something about the PC not being the first person to disappoint her; acknowledgin it was over.

Except now, I've exhausted my dialogue options. Can't pick the flower because she hasn't told me about it and Marjolaine's assassins are nowhere in sight.

She's just stuck on the "Something I can help with" greeting and even modfying her Approval with Feastday won't yeld results.

I really don't feel like redoing the whole Orzammar. It's huge.

That sounds like a bug I encountered on my first playthrough. How high was Leliana's approval when this happened?

Oh crap it is that bug.....did you by any chance start the romance early?Because there's a dialogue bug that occurs when Leliana's approval is 75 and above when you initiate the romance with her.The only solution to my knowledge is to reload a earlier save before the romance started since lowering her approval with the Feast Day gifts does't fix it.

That bug screwed me over big time when I tried to have my Female Amell Warden romance Leliana.

Hardening Leliana is always a must for me. Cant stand her otherwise although she and Morrigan are both complex and deep characters with many layers. Very excited to witness how she is in DA: I

Leliana is like pineapple buttered rum; she's sweet at first, surprisingly rich, knocks you off your feet, and leaves you sobbing in the morning, wondering how it all went so terribly wrong.

It's a good job I don't have a pineapple in the house right now. Or rum.
