With Cassandra, Gray Warden Commander and Ironbull being warriors, Vivienne and Solas as mages, Varric and Seras acting as ranged rogues, it seems we are lacking melee rogues. I guess Leliana and maybe another will fill out that role, because I want to have her as a companion and romance option again.
There's Cole.
Plus Sera and Varric can be equipped with daggers.

I forgot about Cole. But giving Varric anything else than his Bianca is blasphemy! It seems more and more likely that Leliana will not be a companion 
But that doesn't mean she won't have a big role in the story and a major impact on the inquisition. I hope at least she can be romanced.

She is the the leader of the Inquisition's espionage network.
Sadly Bioware has stated that any LI of previous protagonists will not be LIs of the Inquisitor.
