I don't expect BioWare to give their default/canon Warden a love interest.
Me either, there are plenty of forever alone wardens out there.

No, but they have strongly implied it in ME.

One ambiguous reference is hardly a strong implication. I believe the 'comrade-in-arms with elves' line was purposefully vague so as not to contradict any player's canon. If the Warden was an elf, it can certainly refer to them. But if the Warden was not an elf, the line still applies to Zevran, Sketch, Shianni and the Alienage elves if they helped during the final battle, the Dalish if they helped in the final battle, and any number of elves that Leliana may have had associations with in her past that are unknown to us.

Going back a bit to those cards reminds me of The Witcher which had cards much like these but all women I think. One that comes to mind was Abigail...and the cave
Oh Hi Leliana, I didn't see you there in the shadows...erm...er...don't kill me ...not yet anyway. I havn't got the game yet.

I did the same. Can't imagine the Warden not being an elf.
Love dem elves too although Dalish elf will always be my first choice, City elf was okay, not bad. Rather be running through the forest scaring Shems but that's just me. ![]()
I much prefered the Human Noble origin to Dwarf Noble, I scrapped that Dwarf run pretty early, the height difference I just can't.

I thought the height difference between an elven Warden and Leliana was kinda endearing.
..I think she/he was standing on a stump or something...

That's a height difference I'm more than happy to endure, numerous times actually. ![]()
I kinda wished they kept the height difference they had with elves and humans from DAO.

Can't say I ever misread her signals myself. ![]()

They should slap those "Are you really really sure! There is no going back after this option!" messages on the romance dialogue.

Welp Leliana did mention a few times how soft and warm her bedroll was, now if that's not warning enough I don't know what is.
Prepare to be boarded. ![]()

That reminds me of the people who say they accidentally romanced Zevran. How is that possible?

Beats me, I never got close to a bang with him, I suppose all my Wardens had poor attention spans, weren't paying enough attention to the convos. Welp time to stay up and write in my journal about all this. ![]()

Also I'm retarded when it comes to girls flirting with me though unless they're really really obvious...

I actually can see that happening because growing up I had more male friends then female ones. I didn't know the option itself started the romance at first either...
Also I'm retarded when it comes to girls flirting with me though unless they're really really obvious...
Women tend to be more subtle, hence the difficulty at times aye.

When did Leliana say, "I've been comrades in arms with elves"? A trailer?
Edit: Nevermind, it was in the Masked Empire right?

How? She didn't really say anything about a boyfriend/girlfriend.

Yeah, I loved how much shorter elves where than humans, it really played into the whole underdog persona well ![]()

For the books, they are much more ambiguous and do not use their default game PC, so as not to interfere with a player's game canon. For example: neither Asunder nor The Masked Empire ever states whether the Champion supported mages or Templars, but they do vaguely mention 'the troubles in Kirkwall' and 'The Champion'.
So, basically, the Warden in The Masked Empire is not necessarily the Dalish Ultimate Sacrifice Warden.
Edit: redundant sentences are redundant :/

I've been role playing my Warden and the romance is actually playing out in a nice way. The pacing seems to work. I know some people who shower their partners with gifts and get all of the dialogue in camp and then they complain that it feels rushed. I try to pace it out.

Same with me....chat in camp. go out to do a quest, come back to camp. have another chat with each one...out again....etc

I don't know if your ever saluted the grave of a fallen comrade or not but...its usually an emotional experience; lovers or not.

Question: I heard that Leliana commits suicide if she is in love with the Warden and he dies at the end of the game. Is this true?

Nope, she grieves and runs off.
in any variation.
It just depends on the variation for what she runs off to do.
