I'm not sure we can say she would be dead if the Warden didn't kill her.
She's dead in BW's canon they use for books.
Thinking about it more, we probably won't run into her anyway. There's not much more to tell with that story.

I don't think The Masked Empire uses BW's canon, does it?
Because it doesn't really interfere with choices the player makes
"We are always in the thick of battle," Celene said. "It is only that some of us do not always realize it. A bard named Marjolaine once told me that. I heard she met an unfortuante end in Ferelden." She sighed. "Isn't that sad, Nightingale?" (TME p21)
So yeah it's most likely referring to what happened in Origins (Leliana and the Warden killing her specifically) because just above that Celene talks about what happened in the Ferelden circle during the blight to make sure it's Leliana she is speaking to.
I find it unlikely that Marjolaine would return to Ferelden after Leliana lets her go a second time if that was the case.
Personally I wouldn't take TME as definitive proof Marjolaine is dead across all play throughs. Now if that choice isn't in the Keep...

Nothing really comes up.
But events in Asunder are referenced and Asunder uses BW's canon so it counts!
So do you all think Morrigan and Leliana are actually going to be friends in DA:I ?
I honestly think not. Leliana was generally a nicer (or at least more open) person and tried to get close to Morrigan, and even then there might be friction between them regarding a romance with the Warden. DA:I Leliana seems less willing to put up with crap, imo.

No!
Or at least not from the start. I suppose they could develop them in any direction during the course of the game, but it would be jarring for them to be on friendly terms at the start of DA:I. In DA:O on their best days they barely tolerated one another. On their worst, they were at each other's throats.

Leliana even starts off a bit flirty with Morrigan. It all went downhill from there. ![]()

They can even have a cat fight over the Warden!

Nah, those two just don't get along, they tolerate one another just about.

Like the
Treaty of Nonaggression Between Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
o-o They tolerated each other when it was convenient to do so.
And then proceeded to kill each other in massive amounts, if you wish to apply the relationship to a nation states level.
They will be friends I feel.
DA:O was 10 years ago.
Then why is Morrigan always birding around with her (at least that's what i think they have been suggesting) and wearing "the" dress. Explain it...
This is probably what I want explained more then anything.
What?
Morrigan never had any friends...which isn't that surprising considering her attitude....but she did have one near the end of DA:Origins....me. She confessed to me I was her friend even though she knew I was with Leliana.
So maybe Morrigan has changed like Leliana has in DAI.
I couldn't complete Leliana's quest because of a bug. I wonder how it'll affect Inquisition?
I'm pretty sure the raven in my avi and the one we see flying past Leliana in the trailer is Morrigan and I find the association a bit odd. Especially in the tarot card.
The Morrigan is the Celtic goddess of death, farrier of honorable life and battle and a few other thingies i forget in celtic mythos.
She was normally depicted as a raven.

I actually doubt that the raven in your avatar (or the one with Leliana in the trailer. Was there only one?) is Morrigan.I'm pretty sure the raven in my avi and the one we see flying past Leliana in the trailer is Morrigan and I find the association a bit odd. Especially in the tarot card.

I think the raven in that picture is just a reference to Bloodraven from ASOIAF, Leliana is a spymaster now, she needs to have her little birds throughout Orlais and Ferelden.
it won't unless you say you didn't complete it on the keepI couldn't complete Leliana's quest because of a bug. I wonder how it'll affect Inquisition?
I think Leliana and Morrigan will get along fine. Leliana is nice to her and Morrigan might act rude but she deep down does want companionship and friends. They'll probably just talk about the good ol' days and crazy adventures when they were with the Warden.
I don't think Morrigan and Leliana really hated each other too much in my case. Weren't buddy-buddies by any means, but I never heard anything beyond disagreements and snark.
Really, the only exchanges between them that get really heated are the ones you get for macking it with both of them as a male Warden. For me, there was just a little bit of tension and nothing more.

Yeah I never got the impression that they hated each other either. Morrigan got a little freaked out when Leliana was flirting with her... but apparently now she's listening to her fashion tips.
