Leliana mentions the Warden's disappearance in 9:40 Dragon. So concievably the Warden disappeared between the end of Act 3 and Cassandra's interrogation of Varric.

I figured they would do a one size fits all fate for the Warden.  A Warden who went with Morrigan through the eluvian would have came back with her too and then 'poof'...vanished.

There's no evidence right now that Leliana wasn't with the Warden before s/he disappeared.

It depends on what they'll even do with the Warden I guess.  The eluvian thing could make a difference.

King Alistair mentions meeting the Hero of Ferelden in Denerim during Act 3 of DA2 so the Warden is around at that point at least.

Plus Leliana says in Sebastian's Act 3 mission that the Warden was "dear to her heart"

Heck I headcanon the Warden's at the Hanged Man listening to stories of the Qunari invasion while Leliana's doing her thing in the Chantry.

I also got the impression that the Warden had disappeared at some point after Act 3, much as Hawke did.  Cassandra mentioning that in the epilogue is clearly meant to link the two.  Methinks Leliana joining the Inquisition may be as much about finding out what happened to the Warden as much as saving Thedas.

Ritual sacrifice... sounds good to me, i say we start with marjolene (if you left her alive)

Instead, how about Marjolene's sister, MaryLynn, bent on revenge for her sister's death?

I was thinking the same.  It might be a personal quest you can help her with.

Though, saving Thedas comes first.  Priorities.

BTW the way Alexandria does look good in real life to this day. The one who modeled for Leliana. Maybe that's why Leliana is still so hot to date. LOL So's Victoria Johnson if Morrigan's coming back for a cameo....or more.

The Warden and the Champion of Kirkwall...after all they both played a part in attempting to stop the villains, but it backfired on both of them. Which is why they decided to go and disappeare?? Maybe?? The Champion of Kirkwall got sick and tired of lying and the Kirkwall being the center of the Blights every time and knew if it happened again, that's the place it would start. She/He knew that that's why the people and the people in charge of Kirkwall were having a hard time keeping in control.

I think the assumption is that the Warden disappeared 10 years prior to DA:I and hasn't been seen. I believe that is Bioware's official canon, though I'm not exactly sure on the timeline when the Warden disappears. In any case, it has been years even if not quite a decade.

Actually this is factually wrong. Alistair mentions the Warden (as either his wife or mistress) in the present tense (Old ball and chain... or  You know who is back from her mission) and that occurs in act 3, approx 3 years before Varrics interogation.

Thus we can conclude that, at the latest, the Warden disappeared between the Kirkwall Incident and the ending of DA2. (S)He could have disappear earlier if (s)he went through the Eluvian with Morrigan.

The Warden jumped into one of the rifts.

DAI is the story of a guy that thinks he can save the world only for the Warden to come back from the Fade after beating every demon into submission.

Hawke... is The Warden's sidekick.

However, Merrill will refer to the "lost warden" in Act 3 if the Warden was Dalish, so it's a bit confusing there.

She established all the way back in act 1 that she and the rest of the clan had no idea about Mahariel's whereabouts, so I think that meant more lost to the Dalish than lost to everyone.

DA2 could have done a better job at many things, including establishing a clear timeline, especially with all the jumps. It can be hard to tell what a character means when they say something. Especially Lomeryn, that Rivaini city that is supposedly a permanent Dalish settlement. According to codexes it is a settlement, according to some in game dialogue the Dalish aren't even there yet.

I actually thought it did a better job of establishing a time line then origins. In origins about 90 percent of the game takes place after Lothering and before the Landsmeet but the order of all that stuff is completely up to the player so trying to set up a proper timeline of events is nigh impossible.

Hawke... is The Warden's sidekick.

But Hawke, is the one who disappeared from Kirkwall and that is why Cassandra came in search for the Truth. Or was it the truth she was loking for? Could it be she was as power hungry as the rest in Kirkwall since she arrived as the rift in Kirkwall seemed to affect people that arrive there? She may have started looking for the truth, but what did she really end up looking for?

That is the question that should be asked every time. The fact that Hawke and Isabella disappeared still leaves Kirkwall in a dire vortex of self-destruction for anyone coming through. Ever wonder why Hawke left? That may be the very reason why. Mother died at the hands of a psychotic mage, sister/brother dies at the hands of an ogre on the way to the Free Marches in the Korcari Wilds.

As far as Alistair referring to the Warden as the "Old ball and chain," one would think that depends on the ending you picked for your individual game in DAO. Mine was female so she and Leliana took off to see the world together. That's where the "Hero disappears." Besides, she ends up going to look for Morrigan, right?

Who knows what will happen in DAI? That will depend on the way you want it to co me out. Right?  :)

It would be epic if Warden comes out in that scene and kills the guy from the back and they reunion with Leliana . But of course I know its impossible :( Warden is too customizable (sorry for grammar)
