That doesn't sound so bad. And with the Inquisition around, they'd stop anything truly serious from going crazy.

Leliana would murder Anders for what he did. She believes in the chantry but she's fought with mages before and believes they should be free instead of prisoners. The mages just create the College of Enchanters as a replacement for the circle. Its noted that mages are more accepted then ever before. Likely because the mages helped the inquisition in sealing the breach in the sky. So you get a happy ending for pro-mage players.

Is there something I should watch out for in the Divine making process? I've heard choices all throughout the game effect who ends up there, not just the choice.

I reckon I'll support Cassandra as Divine.

I hope I can after siding with the mages as allies. I hear it's influenced by more than just who you choose. Don't want Leliana there for aforementioned reasons.

Leliana's been through enough I just want her to go off and live her own life with my warden and be happy. 

 

Now I'm afraid I'm already far enough in the game that I've done something that'll stick her there regardless of who I support.

Additionally, if one were to advocate for a moderate Chantry, Cassandra is the best option for Divine. Leliana reign as Divine, even though is pro-mage, is brutal. Vivienne's reign of the Divine is just the way things used to be which is not going to work IMO, she is the most conservative. Cassandra is the middle ground, her reign as Divinity sees the Chantry more focused on helping the poor and being charitable.

I would call it smart. She has anyone that tries to oppose her rule swiftly eliminated. That's usually my approach when I'm placed in an position of leadership. Be kind to your friends and allies, and utterly without mercy to your enemies. She is removing the zealots and making the Chantry appealing to both mages and non humans. And with the Chantry giving full support to the Inquisition, one can expect the Inquisition to give their full support to the Chantry as well. I actually think this might make the Chantry more powerfull now then they ever had been in history.

Since many are taking about how to determine the next divine in several threads, I thought it best to combine it under 1 discussion thread here. That way people can post who ended up as Divine in their playthrough, and detail what choices they made so we can narrow down how to accurately set the stage for each of the 3 choices.

I only care about one thing, if Lelana becomes the new Divine, does she break thing off with the Warden if romanced?

If she can't travel the world with the Warden after everything is over like she said, I want the romance to continue at least, even if in secret. If she does break off the romance...Cass...you're the new Divine!

I'm at the part where I have collected 15 points, so I can choose either the mage or templars. It says Leliana will be sent to In Hushed Whispers and she'll visit Alexius or whatever.

But I saw gameplay where Leliana got taken away. If I pick this mission, will she die?? I do NOT want to kill off Leliana.

 

Also, did I miss recruiting Dorian???? I saw him when I was going to meet Alexius's son and it never showed an option to recruit him. He said he would be back, but I read a guide and it said that he can be found in Redcliffe Village (where I talked to him and he ran off), or if I pick the mages???!?!

I got Leliana as the Divine and I could talk to her post-credits.  She didn't mention anything about the Warden at this time but that dialog was super short.

 

I don't see why they have to break the romance off.

I imagine the Warden romance is broken off if Leliana is Divine. Sure, she pretty much reconstructs the Chantry and all so celibacy might not be required anymore...but still, she's Divine. I imagine whatever could have lasted between the Warden and Leliana would be intruded on by other duties once again. Wish she said something about it like Cass supposedly does...but I guess that isn't really the Inquisitor's business.

...that 'Joining the Warden, for good this time.' thing she wanted definitely wouldn't happen, anyway.

Really hoping I get Cassandra.

Actually, its mention that Leliana also changes the chantry's focus to helping the poor. Shes just ruthless about eliminating anyone who calls her policies heresy, especially the whole freeing the mages which is a very big deal

I guess I'm thinking my Warden would quit the GWs and just stay in Val Royeaux to be near Leliana.  My Warden (City Elf rogue type) could even help her from the shadows (kind of like a Left Hand).

 

But if you're looking for a nice and quiet life and settling down, then that's a different story.

I guess. Cassandra apparently ends it with a romanced Inquisitor if she's made Divine though...so, frankly, I just think that'd spell the end for the Warden/Leliana relationship in much the same way. She has her higher calling now.

I just want her to get away from the Chantry organisation frankly. Brought her enough heartbreak at this point - just run off and find the Warden somewhere else. Hence why I want Cassandra Divine.
