Ok so I just had the conversation with Leliana about the new Divine and I don't feel like it made sense

I don't like that my only option in the negative was "there are better options than you". Especially considering the WHOLE OTHER CONVERSATION we just had after her personal quest, I really feel like there should have been an option along the lines of "I don't think this is really what you want."It didn't make any sense to me at all to have her go from "Man I need to get out of here I'm not myself any more" to "NAH I THINK I SHOULD BE DIVINE."

If Leliana wants to be Divine, that would seem to speak against her never being able to see the Hero of Ferelden again; there'd definitely be more inner conflict if that was an issue. So that's reassuring enough. I just have to restart my playthrough and not worry about being automatically heartbroken in all cases.

I think she most definitely considered the Warden when thinking about whether or not she wants to become Divine. I'm sure the HoF is probably still very dear to her if she's Divine, hell, given everything else she changes, she might lift any restrictions that would stop her from really continuing to be with him/her for all we know.

 

I just much prefer the Warden and Leliana continuing their adventures in peace as my ending for her. I feel like that'd be best for her, in the long run.

 

What really miffs me in relations to Leliana/Warden, though, is that I couldn't bring up what the Warden said about her in their letter when Leliana was going crazy, about how the Warden was begging the Inquisitor to 'keep her in the light'. That would have been nice. Though I'm sure the private letter Leliana also received probably had something similar in it...which is a bit sad.

Because I really didn't want her to go down the hardened route this game. But by the time I knew which choices effected it, it was much too late.

 

The letter from the Warden just made it even more of a gut-punch to see her that way.

In Haven. It's the second full conversation with her, after the first one a scout will run up to her and give a report, and eventually you'll be able to pitch in.

Her mother died while she was young. Her first(?) love used her and betrayed her. She was then tortured and who know what happened in prison. She hided in Lothering to escape, only for her Bothers and Sisters to make fun of her belief. She finally found her true and the second person she can truly trusts, only to know that that person is dying in about 30 years, or might die any time from Darkspawns. The other person she cares for, trusts, and respects died in an explosion.

Don't you think she deserves to lives her life happily traveling with the Warden? Or at least if not romanced, get as far away from the Chantry as possible?

Oh, and if romanced, didn't she said that the Warden is the last person she hold dear, and she WILL lose him/her. Even if she doesn't break up with the Warden as Divine, imagine what happen if the Warden dies during his/her adventure while Leliana is busy as Divine. After losing everyone you hold dear to your heart, there isn't much reason to lives. I feel like Bioware should just give Leliana a break and remove her from Divine Candidates.

It's kinda sad because she's my absolute favourite character in the series...but with the ending I got, I kind of hope she doesn't turn up again in future games. Not without the Warden, anywho. It'd be a bit disappointing for her to say she'll join her again for good and then turn up somewhere else again alone.

Mother Giselle comes to mind in like an instant, her views on the Chantry, Mages and Templars are really great. She also has no purpose in the game anyway once we get to Skyhold, so give her one. I kept thinking during my first playthrough that maybe Mother Giselle is there because she has a purpose toward the end of the game, possibly the new Divine, but nope.

All Templars need lyrium, while some mages can leave the Circle by themselves. Old Templars are also crazy from the lyrium withdrawal, while old mages are just old people. The Circles system need fixes, not a remodel. She also just assassinate anyone who opposes her.

In my playthrough, the vast majority of the Templar Order that didn't join the Inquisition wound up joining Corypheus. While my giving-a-damn quotient was always fairly low, it's now completely absent.
