And to think Corinne claimed she was a bad singer. LIEEEEEES! ![]()
I was so surprised and happy to hear her sing in her natural voice! It was so beautiful...
10/10 would love to hear her sing again in an HD Remake of Origins. And with her own voice! Might be difficult for Corinne to learn to sing in a whole different language but it's worth it! Do it for the Divine, Leli! ![]()

With regards to a potential ending I really think/hope that something along the way got cut. The game was delayed a couple times, the ending seemed a tad rushed (at least I thought it was) and the "celebration" and postgame were underwhelming to say the least(again that's just my opinion). Even with the delays plenty of bugs are being found. I would think that they had to prioritize things and ultimately with regards to a possible Leliana ending it never got fleshed out simply because as mentioned it doesn't seem to fit with her romance dialogue. Or it could be a case of problems Leliana romance flags popping up and they couldn't really fix it. Personally I don't like the current special snowflake PC having so much influence in what they do to alter her 10+ year relationship. I just don't want to hear a statement from BW being of "Her position is important and she doesn't need to talk to the Inqusitor about the Hero in this result" That said considering it's not a mandatory thing that I managed to avoid I'm not too upset. It just seems odd though.
Mother Giselle comes to mind in like an instant, her views on the Chantry, Mages and Templars are really great. She also has no purpose in the game anyway once we get to Skyhold, so give her one. I kept thinking during my first playthrough that maybe Mother Giselle is there because she has a purpose toward the end of the game, possibly the new Divine, but nope.
I also don't think Leliana is the best person for Divine. Yes, mages have it rough, but like Cullen (i think?) said, no one care about the Templars who are slaves to the Chantry. All Templars need lyrium, while some mages can leave the Circle by themselves. Old Templars are also crazy from the lyrium withdrawal, while old mages are just old people. The Circles system need fixes, not a remodel. She also just assassinate anyone who opposes her.
The Giselle part confused me. They claim that all the obvious candidates died at the beginning yet the very first mission you get is to find Giselle in effort to gain some support from the Chantry indicating she is someone of worth. She lifts the spirits of the Inquisition during a certain point in the game and is part of the Inquisition just like the other 3 candidates. She seems decent for the job. The last part about the assassinations is only if she's still hardened.
It's kinda sad because she's my absolute favourite character in the series...but with the ending I got, I kind of hope she doesn't turn up again in future games. Not without the Warden, anywho. It'd be a bit disappointing for her to say she'll join her again for good and then turn up somewhere else again alone.
I recall them saying they want to go north in the future games and that they kill offed a lot of loose ends/carry over so I imagine in the future will be new stuff with little carry over.

In a brighter note was anyone else fairly pleased on how the romanced import worked out (ignoring a certain ending of course). I felt it gave good depth to what was going on during the timeframe.

I wish there were more subtle little acknowledgements like that. Particularly in...certain scenes, as has been said before.

I like the way you think about the last part you said about their journey to Valence, if we're thinking the same thing ![]()
I'd love if Sheryl confirmed, or it was revealed in a future DLC
This would also mean if Leliana becomes Divine there would be no reason for her to keep her relationship with the Warden a secret or for anybody to oppose it. Andraste had a husband and children, and still did the Maker's work.

Doubt it, seeing as that would only really be able to apply to male Wardens.

That is true, but Leliana was the most popular romance in Origins, I don't see why Bioware wouldn't want to give that little treat to the Lelimancers, even if they would only be doing a favor to those with a male Warden. And I don't see that taking too much effort, it could only be one short dialogue line from Leliana or the male Warden referencing their marriage.
Which got me thinking, did the majority of people romance her with a male or female Warden? From what I've seen, it seems like a 50/50 situation to me.

First time I romanced Leliana was on my female Warden. Then tried it with male Warden on next playthrough. It seems Leliana prefers female to me, so after that, I always romance Leliana as female Warden.

So a I have a question I've been wondering about Leliana for quite some time, and since most of you guys here have been on these forums longer than me (maybe have been DA fans for a longer time) I thought I'd get your insight.
It's very obvious there is character hate in both the Dragon Age and Mass Effect fandom, so I've been wondering, is Leliana hated as much as some people make her out to be? I sometimes browse Tumblr and even these forums and get kind of surprised when someone says something along the lines of, "Why the Leliana hate?" "I'll never understand the hate Leliana gets", etc.
Cause...I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't see as much hate for her as some people say. Yes she has haters, but being the most popular romance in Origins and most hated character, sort of, doesn't match up. I've mentioned this to a few other people, and they were really as surprised as me.
Same goes when people say Alistair is hated, or Zevran, Morrigan, I sort of understand why some people might hate her, but she has been called fan-favorite a few times now, as the other LI from Origins.
I think even Gaider mentioned something about how some fans were surprised when he claimed Leli was the most popular romance, and added that just because her fans weren't as vocal as other characters' doesn't mean she's not popular.

I don't see a lot of hate. Sure, there's a few people around this site that really hate her but that's expected.
Some people on tumblr see one person make a negative comment about their fave character/waifu and then think the entire fanbase is out to get their fave character/waifu.

The post you mention is here http://dgaider.tumbl...cter-popularity
Ultimately DA is a series that has sold millions and the people who post on the internet makes a small portion of that. When it comes to Leliana I find the negatives are almost always the same 2 arguments from DAO; The handling of the sacred ashes (where everyone seems to have gotten the decapitation animation) with all the whining that comes with her return in da2. The other is people complaining that she talks about the Maker all the time which is an over-dramatization not to mention how that is part of her character (religion does always seem to be a touchy subject though). Overall I think she's a pretty popular character but just has a relatively tame fanbase compared to others. She just has the the loud "But I killed her!" detractors.
