The people who romance Leliana seem to have shockingly little faith in her.
The moment for drastic change is now. The Chantry is at its weakest and most pliable, and its members in the mood for peace and stability regardless of which form it takes. It's already broken; fixing it back to the backwards institution that it was won't help anything and it's by no means necessary.
So a few days ago I stumbled on the funniest war table banter ever
Spoiler
Josephine: Inquisitor! You should know that your Spymaster is an incorrigible prankster!
Leliana: I don't know what you're talking about.
Josephine: No? My... my things? In the courtyard?
Leliana: The ruffles were very festive.
Josephine: [outraged] Leliana!!!
Poor Josie. Now I'm imagining Sera and Leliana teaming up and pulling pranks on everyone
I want a 'revenge prank' dlc where the Inquisitor helps Josie get back at Leliana and Sera.

I don't think all of her changes are bad. Just the one where she gets rid of the circles and let the mages live free.
It's nice when some of the writers can shed some light. Cass romancers get "you'll just have to wait and see" from Gaider regarding a romanced Cass who could become divine.
If I was to guess, they answered the Leliana question now because it probably wasn't going to be touched upon much in any future DLC/expansions anyway, while Cassandra likely will.

I doubt we'll see much of Cass, if any, in a future game. She's been in two, and there isn't much more they could do with her. Given all 3 of the endings she could arrive at (staying with inquisition, reforming seekers, becoming divine) she has little reason to head north which is where the next game is being said to take place by Bioware. Gaider just apparently doesn't like to divulge information regarding his characters. I don't think it's anything more than that. Fortunately for Leliana fans her writers in this game aren't keeping people in suspense.

Hence, future post-game DLC/expansions. Seeing as Cass can still be a party member for a while, I'd be surprised if nothing came up.

Bae is still a nerd.
I wish there were more of these little mentions where Leliana does goofy stuff (the pranks on Josie, teasing Cullen, Schmooples the Second, the chocolates are mine letter), no matter how depressing her life gets she still tries to find the brighter side of things, even Josie says this.
Also, glad they spilled the beans about Divine Leliana/Warden romance. Both her and Cass are staying with both my characters.
And I actually like the idea of the Warden being chosen as Right Hand of the Divine under Leliana's rule.
I noticed Cassandra said Leliana turned down her offer to remain as Right Hand. Does she do that in all circumstances?(Leliana was hardened, romanced)
You mean when Leliana is Divine, she turns down Cassandra's offer? Huh. Wonder why she'd do that.
I wonder if Leliana stays Left Hand when Cassandra is Divine. I imagine not - it seems like her loyalty to Justinia was all that was keeping her there. In a romanced play through, anyway. I'd like to imagine she goes through with her original plan and just packs up and leaves.

Well, my thoughts were that if that doesn't happen in a non-romanced playthrough it'd suggest that she intends the post for the Warden. Or it could be Hardened Leliana being suspicious or something, though I'm not sure I buy that

If romanced, I'd expect her to leave to be with the Warden. If not romanced, hardened vs unhardened might matter.
I'm not sure how fond my Warden would be of the whole becoming a hand of the Divine idea. She'd do it, but might be hesitant.
...wonder how her old Dalish clan would react. Send her off to the human world, next thing they know she's a legend among them and a wee bit close with the head of their religion. They'd probably disown her.
I suppose in comparision to everything else she does, a Dalish sort-of-a-heathen girlfriend probably wouldn't even come close to being the most controversial thing about Leliana's Divine career. :S
Not that this really applies to me. All hail Divine Cassandra tbh.
So for everyone that has completed "Here lies the Abyss" I got a question
Spoiler
In the fade portion you come across a graveyard and the tombstones describe all the companions fears/nightmare. Yet none of the advisers are there even though there is blank tombstones.(At least for me there was nothing for them) I don't know if it's a bug and they should be on those blank tombstones or not but I was curious what Leliana's would be. Loneliness? Abandonment? Lack of Purpose? The Calling?(If romanced) She's had a sad life it could be so many things. I just found it odd that none of the advisers were there.
The problem being though that a mage ignited the war. So just letting them run free willy nilly isn't going to fly with people. The Circle would need to exist. Thats why I agree with a Divine Cassandra more, where the mages look after themselves in the circle and the Templars are there to help rather then enforce.

Abandonment, loss, something like that, I reckon.
We can see it three times now, with Marjolaine, a romanced Warden who did the ultimate sacrifice, and Justinia...it always seems to hit her very hard, even when it's happened to her twice before and one would think she might steel herself to it.
I hope I get this one. My advisors have been pretty quiet lately...
I got it just before unlocking Crestwood
Spoiler
to look for Loghain. I don't know if this kind of banter can be heard at any point in the game, I felt a drastic change of tone after Adamant and right now my advisors are not very talkative. My recent screwups at the war table probably don't help, even though no one has talked to me about their devastating consequences.

Don't forget Baron Plucky and the shoes for the Western Approach
It's a pity she isn't present in most of the nice/funny group scenes with the companions (or she hasn't been so far in my playthrough), I feel she would get along well with most of them... ok, at least with Sera I liked how she was willing to pull a prank on Leliana but then gave up because she had no ideas for her except messing with her locked box in the rookery, and that was too much "for just a bit of fun".
Finally got the kind Divine Victoria on my third playthrough :DDD. Hearing "the cathedral ran with blood" again for the second playthrough was so annoying. I know you can build your "perfect" world for the next DA game, but it's still totally satisfying to achieve the perfect ending.

Clearly it does fly, otherwise it wouldn't be an option.
