I am curious about one thing regarding Leiliana in DA:I. What happens if you let Majorlaine live? I never could, her accent drove me to the blade over and over. Is she mentioned at all? does it have an impact?. And where the frack is schmooples?!

And where the frack is schmooples?!
Isn't schmooples dead? There's Schmooples II tho. There's a letter about it on Leliana's desk in Skyhold.

About Marjolaine: it doesn't seem to have an impact.
About Schmooples: Check Leliana's desk for a letter... *ninja'd!*

I don't know if this is just an oversight but as soon as you talked to Leliana right after you defeated the Big Bad, she will say this:
Spoiler
Whatever happened to "I will join him/her for good this time" with the Warden? I'll just assume Lels will try to rope the Warden into helping out with this Inquisition business after they returned from their quest, you know, become an agent in either diplomacy/spying/military. Then again, the fun stuff is already over so joining the Inquisition at this time is kinda like a moot point if you know what I mean.
Yeah i loved seeing hardened Leilana becoming the new ruthless divine but i'm still rather confused she never mentioned how she went from leaving to be with her love to this new life commitment and how warden factored into it. Maybe she'll create a new title 'consort of the divine' for the warden.

I just did some testing with some old saves with her(romanced) in various states unhardened/hardened and never got that line when you return to skyhold, the party or the line in the rookery(Now this was with Cass as Divine. I don't know if it is different with Vivienne). Seems like you (or me) encountered an oversight, bug or some weird result of previous dialogues.
Now what I found to be the very interesting part that I came across trying to sort all this out. If you skip her personal quest thus not handling the unhardening/hardening choice the Divine situation plays out far differently.

Doesn't Leliana kill Marjolaine on her own if it doesn't happen in DA:O? I've always killed her, but I thought sparing her in DA:O resulted in an epilogue about Leliana going after her anyway.

Still, one question remains: What is going to happen to Skyhold if the Inquisition disbands?
After pouring in so much resources to fix that place only to abandon it like that is kind of... I don't know... They can't sell that place, can they?
The Inquisition ends up one faction in a long list of them to have ruled over and eventually abandoned/lost Skyhold. If the Inquisition disbands the castle probably eventually reverts to being vacant. The soldiers would no longer have an employer and would return to their homes or seek work elsewhere. Same for the castle staff. And the merchants would be without a source of income, so they'd drift off to Denerim or Val Royeaux or other cities or castles.

I don't think "kill" is explicit. Also, only when not romanced

Schmooples the sequel? Awesome. Just ran up and found the note. Made my day.

According to The Masked Empire, Marjolaine died sometime between the events of DAO and the book.

It's the only good idea from any candidate for Divine.
Leliana had a lot of great ideas about how the Chantry of Andraste could be reformed into a better, more tolerant organization. I thought Leliana was the best choice for Divine for my Lavellan Inquisitor canon.

The fact that your/our Lavellan even matters here is what amuses (and kind of saddens) me the most. It's more absurd than any amount of reform Leliana undertakes.

Did you tell her she did the right thing pulling her people back to Haven, when you got to Skyhold? I believe that's one of the big factors, too.

I told her she did the right thing, but I also agreed that her men were still soldiers.
Part of my problem is that they make my Inquisitor seem oddly ok with Leliana's new attitude. Which he is most definitely not.

I don't see what's sad about expressing that this was simply my opinion, and my personal preference for a particular worldstate.

I'm guessing you have to tell her that people aren't expendable, then.
Y'know it's interesting how Varric says Leliana is a good spymaster because she doesn't get too attached to her people, when that whole scene kinda demonstrated that wasn't really the case.
Part of my problem is that they make my Inquisitor seem oddly ok with Leliana's new attitude. Which he is most definitely not.
Yeah...when she started talking about how she was going to 'collect' one of her rival's young cousins for leverage...I really wish I could have said something.
Especially after reading the Warden's letter...

I didn't get this dialogue. She didn't really speak of her future plans at all in mine. She wasn't Divine.
That's kinda depressing, though.

Dear Magister Maevaris Tilani
I'm trying to unharden Leliana here. Please stop sending her chocolates when she assassinates people.
Sincerely,
Inquisitor
ps. Or at least tell her to share

I got to the Leliana chantry mission. I had her kill the Chantry sister. Then I reloaded and told her not to kill the Chantry sister. She does it either way.
What is the difference?

I like most of Leliana's content, but the "softening" mechanic is really weird (rp-wise). I mean, the whole thing is based around the second conversation we have with her. The inquisitor is a new recruit at this point...and barely knows Leliana. That's why I said nothing on my first playthrough. I thought my character isn't in a position to tell her how to deal with traitors.
There you go. You saw yourself as unworthy of listening to. It would take some audacity to try to influence someone you don't know.. and expect results in the longrun.
