An earlier conversation you have with in Haven
So going forward, it doesn't matter if I have her kill the Chantry sister or not?

At that moment, no
If you can't stop her killing her, it doesn't matter what you tell her to do.
I got to the Leliana chantry mission. I had her kill the Chantry sister. Then I reloaded and told her not to kill the Chantry sister. She does it either way.
What is the difference?
If you convinced her not to kill the traitor in Haven, and if you argued that she made the right call to pull her people back when speaking to her in Skyhold, then you would be able to talk her down from killing the spy in the Chantry. Leliana's personality will become hardened if the traitor is killed or if she's told she was wrong to pull her people back.

I don't remember anything about a traitor in Haven. I sided with the Mages, and I hear you don't get a personal quest from Leliana if you side with the mages.

The dialogue about the Haven traitor is horribly easy to miss; hang around with her after your first conversation and a messenger will appear. The thing about the mages is wholly untrue.
I have never gotten a personal mission from her. How is that even triggered?
Have you beaten the game? Hers isn't unlocked until very late - much later than Cullen's or Josephine's.

That's just the Nemesis quest. Not her personal quest.
Well, successfully 'softened' her this second run, and Cassandra is once again Divine. I shall consider this attempt more successful than the last.
My Warden will be a bit happier whenever she gets back this time around, anyway.

Wow... we're getting off topic here... Still, disbanding the Inquisition is no small feat what with everything the Inquisition did. Allowing the Inquisition to continue is a bad idea indeed but disbanding it could bring about changes, big and small/good and bad, depending on players' choices in DAI. We can open another thread for this but not here.
We need more shoes, nugs and Tevinter chocolates in here! ![]()
Yeah i loved seeing hardened Leilana becoming the new ruthless divine but i'm still rather confused she never mentioned how she went from leaving to be with her love to this new life commitment and how warden factored into it. Maybe she'll create a new title 'consort of the divine' for the warden.
Consort of the Divine? Woah... I know Lels would bring about radical changes when she becomes Divine but this? I don't know... The title sounds a little... 'degrading' for the Hero of Ferelden somehow. I'd rather the Warden slink about in the Divine's shadow or making another awesome title for him/herself by doing awesome deeds instead of publicly strutting about next to the Divine. My brain just can't handle it... ![]()
The Inquisition ends up one faction in a long list of them to have ruled over and eventually abandoned/lost Skyhold. If the Inquisition disbands the castle probably eventually reverts to being vacant. The soldiers would no longer have an employer and would return to their homes or seek work elsewhere. Same for the castle staff. And the merchants would be without a source of income, so they'd drift off to Denerim or Val Royeaux or other cities or castles.
Bummer... they have really nice drapery though... and the furniture... what a waste... ![]()

This.
"Consort of the Divine" will set the court on fire. And a bit too close to Maferath, somehow. Which makes it a bit more unpleasant.
For those who can't get Lel's line about serving the Inquisition forever, I manage to get a screenshot of it. I got this line right after I'm done with Corypheus and with Viv as the Divine. Leliana was unhardened.

More like heresy. Even Leliana as the Divine can't handle it no matter how liberal/idealistic she is.

If Leliana really does only turn down Cassandra's offer to remain as Right Hand if she romanced the warden then it sounds like the Hero already has a fancy new title to add to the list, and a reason to spend time around the divine, rolled neatly into one.
Anyone confirm if she accepts Cassandra's offer without a romanced import?

I'd take 'Right Hand of the Divine' over 'Consort of the Divine' any time. The former sounds cooler.

Now i want to go back and create a warden called Maferath, romance Lel as she becomes the ruthless Divine Victoria.

Well, if Leliana becomes Victoria, maybe you should name your Warden Albert? *runs away*

The warden's parents must hate that kid, to give such a name to him. And that namesake alone would set Thedas on fire. "Maferath, Hero of Ferelden".
At this point, I'm more interested in how the Chantry would perceive these events. The Maker sees it fit to redeem his name, perhaps? A sign for them to acknowledge The Canticle of Maferath. Wouldn't it be better if Maferath is romancing nice Divine Victoria?

Spoiler
Note to self. Never make Vivienne Divine. That said given what she says throughout the game and especially what they said on twitter about the relationship if she is Divine, you can pretty much throw that line out the window and put not real stock in it as the twitter thing kind of indicates that they really didn't account for her romance near endgame. From everything they have said about the implementation of the Warden in the game I have a suspicion it was finalized very late especially since warden Alistair, Morrigan and Leliana all say the same thing about where they are and returning to them. My guess was she was written with the normal mentions like the first skyhold convo, Valence mention, etc. Then they threw the Warden stuff in later resulting in weird flow between her normal DAI development and with her romance content.
Anyone else here that went "Wow" when they saw Leliana in the Winter Palace?
Because that was my reaction. >.> Followed by a request to talk to her 'in private'.
