I came across an interesting tidbit: You know how you can ask your companions and advisors about the other people they work with? Ask them about Leliana before and after her personal quest. The dialogue changes.

Someone posted a picture a while back of Leliana playing chess against Cullen (it happens if you don't recruit Dorian).

Here's a video of it.

I didn't let her become divine (even though she really wanted to) because I wanted her to be with my warden

She did say at the beginning that she will join the Warden for good this time seems she forgot about that

She apparently doesn't leave the Warden if she becomes Divine, so I don't think she forgot per se. She probably already planned to just change the rules if need be at that point.

Still prefer the idea of the Warden and Leliana continuing their adventures rather than my Warden sitting around Val Royeaux twiddling her thumbs most of the time, though, so yeah. No Divine for me. I actually prefer Cassandra for the role, so my reasons aren't completely selfish. :S

That feel when you're playing DA:O again, have Leliana with you for Broken Circle, and realize you have 2/3 of the future Inquisition war council in one room. Who woulda guessed.

It is just so odd in general playing DA:O and realizing 10 years from now that the woman in front of you will become the spymaster to the greatest intelligence outfit in all of Thedas. She could probably know about every head official and what they do. All that power, just nuts.

Doesn't affect my Warden in anyway, just makes her even more attractive ;).

playing again at the imperial court and I think the braid IS still there. I looked at her and there seems to be a piece that hangs like the braid did but I can't get a clear enough view.

small ting, small ting.

It is. I have posted some highres shots here earlier in the thread http://forum.bioware...ble/?p=18015579

I do disagree with Josie about how she suggested Leliana change her hairstyle though .

When I talked to Leliana, she seemed she didn't really care about becoming Divine. I have a hardened Leliana. I can't really remember what her answer was, but after the Chantry mission, she seemed she just cared about where she was now.

How do you get her opinions on becoming Divine?

I don't know what initiates her being interested in being Divine. Just after the Valence journey she is just like "Hmmm I've been thinking it over and maybe I should be Divine!"

I really think that the Romance flag in the World State should have an effect on her wanting to be Divine. Not a super massive effect if some Leliana romancers want her to be Divine. But still have some form of having her think things over. If the Warden romanced her and they chose to travel then she'd more in line with saying no, perhaps they could've added a feature of another candidate supporting the other. So Leliana supporting Cassandra and visa versa (Not Vivienne haha.)

I feel the same way. Also even though I like Leliana more as a character than Cassandra, I think Cassandra makes a better Divine. Leliana is a little too radical, IMO.

100% the same here, Cassandra feels like a better Divine. No offense to Leliana her goals are great she is just waay too much too fast. Although I do support her idea of what Unhardened Leliana saying of "Don't Dictate but Inspire the people."

Cassandra is guided by faith, she was touched by a spirit of faith because her faith before hand attracted that spirit. She is a better leader then Leliana in my eyes (other then stabbing books... poor poor books.)
Leliana seems like one who loves adventure, telling stories and just being lively. (Was it Josephine that said that Leliana used to dance and sing by herself in the halls?)
Plus Leliana technically has some emotional issues with those she cares for or looks up to(attachment...). While Cass is one who takes advice but ultimately decides on the decision herself. I'm not doing them justice with describing them though. Just that it feels completely right this way ( I have no lingering doubts on it.) with Cass being Divine and Leliana being with the Warden, traveling Thedas.

It's interesting how Cassandra and Leliana turn out as Divine. It's a complete reversal of their usual approach. Cassandra is usually all about charging head first into things because it's right, yet she is cautious as Divine. Leliana is usually about being discreet and careful, but as Divine she becomes very bold. In my first game I got Vivienne as Divine. I was not happy.

If the gossip in Val Royaux is any indication (and in my last game it was), Cassandra will be the Divine this time around. Which sucks because I'm romancing her. I guess I'll see.

I was okay with Leliana becoming Divine in this playthrough (with the import I considered canon before)

I imported a female elf mage who romanced Leliana and died killing the Archdemon, so it actually gave me srs feels when I think about what she does as Divine. Headcanoning that her changes were...inspired.  :crying:

I'm pretty sure Cassandra is the default Divine or something. I've found it's incredibly easy to get her into the position.

It's been two playthroughs now that my choices didn't line up with her at all, yet me voicing support for her was all she needed to get the spot.

I'd always headcanoned that her line in The Masked Empire about being 'comrades-in-arms with elves' was in reference to the Warden in my case. Similar feels.

She does feel as if she would be the Divine that happens in default worldstates.

I wonder if thats the reason why Gaider didn't want to say anything yet regarding Divine Cassandra and her romanced inquisitor.

My guess is still that they commented on Leliana's romance status as Divine but not Cassandra's because the latter will be covered in future DLC/expansions, but the former will not. So...they answer that question now.

My ideal expansion for DAI would kick off with the Inquisitor attending the coronation of the next divine. It gives us a reason to explore the rest of Val Royeaux, and for an event like that they've good excuses to throw in some cameos aswell :)

After that, have the Inquisitor investigate something on behalf of the Divine and let us bump into wardens, darkspawn, a certain wolf, depending on the plot :)
