The flowers look a bit like Andraste's Grace too (as far as I remember); many nice touches indeed.

 

That's an awfully heavy-duty-looking weapon though; I figured Leliana's sniper rifle would be more elegant, probably with polished wood trim... Not that that's something I've ever had to think about before.

The rifle looks like it would be easy to disassemble. For easy transportation and disposal if need be. Her outfit draws the eye, doesn't it? Purty toes...

More of a highly modified M-21 or M-24.

 

Or.. wait. If you replace the buttstock... Maybe it's the M-110 SASS.

 

Although there's a .308 ammunition box...

Not completely identical to the 7.62x51mm NATO the M-110 SASS uses, but apparently they're considered interchangeable... By some people...

Reminds me of that movie with the French lady who was an assassin, what was it called? La Femme Nikita? I liked that movie.

Man that is some good art. Can someone of the artistic talent now draw a few other characters in modern setting? I have none so I can only ask and wait from others.

Pretty cool. I can't see her as a smoker though. Gotta have good lungs for assassinating... and singing. 

 

Can't picture Origins!Leliana having that habit, but smoking seems to fit for Inquisition!Leliana. Given the stuff she's been through and that she suffers from depression for the bigger part of DAI I can see her drinking or smoking not as an overly-addictive habit, but something she often does in between spying and assassinating, when she's very frustrated and sad and wants to chill a little.

 

In Inquisition she doesn't strike me as someone who embraces the positive side of her bardic abilities anymore; singing and dancing and writing about her adventures with the Warden and co. during the times of the Blight...now I made myself sad...

I don't know about now, but in the 90s everybody smoked in French movies. The only non smokers were kids. And even then...

She did sing at wynnes funeral, at least. I'm dont really belive after being responsible for so many deaths, she would ever go back to what she was in origins. I belive This side of lelliana has been developing from the moment, she became a bard.

A really good friend SweetCandyRain drew this for me in pencil and sent it all the way from Sweden to where I live (Pacific Northwest.) I have it framed in my room . Absolutely mind boggling that she got everything so right for Leliana. (I admit I'm a fan of her Sacred Ashes incarnation more then Vanilla Origins appearance.)

I would say sure but she's been away from deviantART for the past year and a half. She permanently damaged her drawing arm so for her to draw this for me is mind boggling. She and I talk over email most of the time since we used to trade art between the 2 of us and she really liked my Dragon age fan fiction.

She drew my avatar of my Warden and Leliana as well, I just colored it.

Though... her face does look a little bit skinnier than in Origins. Hell, even her body is, just noticed that. I'd guess lack of food because of spymastering and assassinating will do that to you.

Then again, perhaps being forced by Corypheus' legions to smoke was why she ended up looking like a prune in the Dark Future? And how the young and vibrant Dorothea described by the books, suddenly became more haggered than her predecessor at half the age?
