Don't know how many people have seen this but there is a very nice thread here http://forum.bioware...t-12314/page-22 starting on page 22 regarding the Divine variables. It is still a WIP but the user MostlyAutumn has found/ is finding the variables and tracked them to identify what goes on to make the decision. Also there's a neat tool on the latest post that analyzes your save game for the variables so you know where you stand based on what's known so far. They also posted a helpful summary on the wiki here: http://dragonage.wik...Divine_election . In typical fashion it seems Leliana is bugged and can gain points to be Divine when she should lose them. It still seems to be a preliminary WIP but pretty impressive work.

My initial playthrough was pro-mage all the way, so getting Leliana was not surprising at all to me, could be that I could've nudged it over to Cassandra with the war table mission, alas I didn't use the correct dialogue to gain said operations. Neat tool though, I'll have to try it out ![]()
As for the ages, personally I think Leliana being about 26 years old like the toolset range seems about right. This reminds me about Alistair though, what's his exact age? Considering Fiona has been confirmed to be his mother there should be a definite answer to it no? ![]()

The World of Thedas lore book has him born 9:10 dragon on the timeline. I would assume that is the official age

Have the Templars as allies+Celene/Briala in my current run, hoping for Cassandra.

Another reason Leliana is the best divine:
Turns out the mages form the Bright Hand if they are conscripted and Leliana becomes Divine, and it turns out to be way better than Cass' version. Problem?

I see why I get Leliana all the time.
Allying with mages + Wardens + saying "I'll do it b/c it's right" is +20 right there.

I have no idea how I managed to pull off Cassandra that time. Dumb luck I guess.

Same here.
I guess reuniting Celene and Briala gives Cassandra (she greatly approves) and Leliana (she wants to support Briala) points. I know Vivienne complained about it.

I allied with the mages, allied with the Wardens, and had Celene my first playthrough. And was a Qunari with shaky faith.

Did you do her war table missions? That might have helped tip it in her direction.

It might be that the scoring for this is the same as just "Celene alive".
Which doesn't make sense as those are still two pretty different outcomes, both in game and the epilogue.
The wiki might not have it either I suppose.

That guide doesn't seem to mention reuniting Celene and Briala. Unless I'm missing something.
Have the Templars as allies+Celene/Briala in my current run, hoping for Cassandra.
That's what I did in my second playthrough and Vivienne ended up as Divine, which wasn't entirely surprising, seeing as I voiced support for the circles. The approval list indicates also that the mage specific dialogue favors her aswell. With that being said, Cassandra's War Table operation was enough to tip the scales to her favor, so I think you'll be fine.

My first playthrough was exactly the same (save for being a qunari) and I got Leliana.
However, I did ignore her War Table mission. On purpose. So that has to be it.

Yeah, I'm guessing the fact that I did her war table missions tipped it in her favour. That set of choices kinda bounces between candidates, all it would really need is one to push out the others.

Good to know, I reckon allying with the Templars is probably the easiest way to keep her above the others anyway, with the war table giving her one last nudge to the throne.

I'm not sure if you took notice but the game actually warns you that if you complete that particular War Table mission, then the choice is irreversible. It basically confirms that Cassandra becomes Divine once the operation is complete.
That's why I avoided doing it since I wanted Leliana. The operation will disappear off the table post-game if you leave it unfinished.

I don't think it ever says it's making Cassandra assured to become Divine.
For me it just said something like 'How much our support means, however, we'll have to wait and see.'

I remember doing that operation.
And being utterly convinced Mother Giselle would still become Divine because "no way is BioWare going to let us make such an important decision without severely diminishing the difference in consequences".
I should've learned my lesson after Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts.

Well if the bug is true leliana gets +5 no matter how the Wardens are solved ![]()

As mentioned this is still a WIP. In this post here http://forum.bioware...314/?p=18373466 MostlyAutumn says
I ran more tests. Executing Gaspard leads to Vivienne +1, sparing him to Vivienne +5, Leliana +1. It doesn't matter whether you reconcile Celene and Briala or not. I also found a bug in the game logic: whenever Leliana should lose 1 or 5 points, she gains them instead. I've updated the list accordingly.
with regards to Celene Briala. But yeah CelenexBriala vs Celene alive seem waay different

I am referring to an extra note that is displayed below that one. It's some sort of in-game warning indicating that completing the operation will ensure Cassandra becomes Divine, which is why I decided to avoid it altogether.
I don't remember the exact words but trust me, it was there.

Alistair was 20 in Origins, 31 in Inquisition. ![]()
As for Leliana, in Origins she says her mother left Ferelden after the Orlesians were defeated and that she was born in Orlais.
The Orlesians were defeated in 9:2 Dragon when Maric defeated King Meghren in a duel at Fort Drakon.
Which means, Leliana can't be older than 27/28 during Origins.
But I agree with the previous posts, 24-28 age range seems just about right for her. ![]()
As for her being Divine, I managed to get her in both playthroughs, freeing the mages in one and conscripting the templars in the other. She seems the easiest choice to get for Divine. At least for me.

It's worth mentioning that I do remember explicitly telling Cassandra that I'd support her if given the chance (which I didn't actually mean, but it was the 'nicest' option in that particular instance and it wasn't a decision wheel). I got the aforementioned War Table operation immediately after.

But I also avoided the wartable missions because I wanted Leliana (who doesn't have a wartable operation...), so I could be wrong.

So did I, the one that required Nobility Knowledge.
