When it comes to the war table mission this is what I got regarding Cass. Nothing set in stone just influences the Grand Clerics

I thought the warning only said that you can't support more than one candidate (Vivienne's mission will disappear if you complete Cassandra's mission etc.).

I honestly have trouble remembering so I couldn't say. All I know is the warning was enough for me to ignore the operation, since it made it sound pretty obvious that Cassandra will be Divine if you decide to complete this operation.

Yes, that's exactly the warning I was referring to. The way I interpreted it is, if you complete the operation, then you will have no way of supporting Leliana later on, which isn't how I wanted my game to go. So I avoided the thing altogether.

I was upset we didn't get to see Sten in the game. If we had a unhardened Leliana, I wanted her to call Sten a Softie in front of his entourage.

Don't know how many people have seen this but there is a very nice thread here http://forum.bioware...t-12314/page-22 starting on page 22 regarding the Divine variables. It is still a WIP but the user MostlyAutumn has found/ is finding the variables and tracked them to identify what goes on to make the decision. Also there's a neat tool on the latest post that analyzes your save game for the variables so you know where you stand based on what's known so far. They also posted a helpful summary on the wiki here: http://dragonage.wik...Divine_election . In typical fashion it seems Leliana is bugged and can gain points to be Divine when she should lose them. It still seems to be a preliminary WIP but pretty impressive work.

Thats been urking me like crazy! Orlais has so much imagery of Lions but where are the Lions! Where are they in Thedas?

I think Par Volhen has some big cats. Sten talks about them, although I think they sound like more jungle cats (jaguars or tigers) than plains cats (lions, leopards, cheetahs).

 

Does Thedas have an Africa equivalent? Most of it so far has a heavy European influence.

No Africa equivalent.

Maybe the used to be around but went extinct, like the european lion.  Which shows up a lot in Greek mythology, for example.

Has anyone managed to get Leliana as Divine when you conscript the mages instead of allying with them? I've conscripted them twice and got Cassandra as Divine both times despite saying I'd support Leliana.

It requires a fair bit of metagaming. Or a considerate chunk of luck to pick all the right choices afterwards...

Going by that wiki, my Divine scoring is usually:

 

Leliana:  22

Vivienne:  -6

Cassandra: -11

I guess my runs so far have been:

 

Leliana: 17

Cassandra: 11

Vivienne: 21

 

...no idea how I managed to get Cassandra in this one. Something must be missing. 

 

Cassandra beat out the others the second time with 21. Made her Divine again. 

 

No idea what will happen my current playthrough, because Celene/Briala doesn't seem to be tracked. 

 

Confusing tbh.

Well reading the thread it seems to still be a work in progress so it's likely still missing stuff/getting adjusted. Until it gets finalized it's more like a rough guide to gain better understanding of how it works.

I got Cassandra's operation through a conversation with her about becoming Divine: I used the Nobility Perk dialogue option, telling her I would support her in any way I could (or something like that), and the "Support Cassandra" operation immediately popped up. It's the only one I got though, I guess it's because I completed it before having the same conversation with Leliana, and Vivienne... well, let's just say she never told me she wanted to become Divine

Interesting that the angel wings have peacock feathers. Nice little details with the crows in the background, the Andraste's Grace and the arrows. I have to wonder about the skeletal hands though...
