Leliana x Warden is eternal master race.

I like my weirdo Lavellan and Solas well enough, but I've long since accepted my female Mahariel and Leliana is my DA top OTP 4 lief tbh. I'm still always looking more forward to the Warden romance references than my current character's romance, and am completely meta-gaming for their benefit by doing whatever is possible to make sure Leliana doesn't become Divine.

I have a cousin that is just like Shianni personality wise. that sorta influenced my decision to have Tabris as my canon. i'd played other origins but that one stuck with me.

While I'm partial to my F!Mahariel, I suppose there's something poetic about Tabris and Leliana, seeing as after Leliana's Song we know Tabris' mum told her stories of some human girl who happened to be Leliana.

Too bad they'll probably never make the connection. :S

I like when Leliana asks the Warden about her life in the Alienage and then things get really awkward when she casually praises Orlais' attitude towards elves, which is problematic to say the least. Leli tries to sound all flattering and open minded but when the Warden is like "wait that's racist" she's so upset and tries to explain herself, which only makes things worse; then she apologizes and admits "you have given me a lot to think about". I think you also get approval points at the end of that dialogue.

 

My Tabris, on the other hand, was totally clueless when it came to other matters. Ah, that "pressed flowers" conversation...

My Dalish and City elves (male because that's how I roll and for the jealousy banters with morrigan) romanced Leliana. I definitely feel that the city elf should romance Leliana, especially since Leliana saved the city elf warden's mother.

That's pretty much my favourite conversation in the series. The Dalish version is basically the same, except it starts with Leliana talking about the stereotypes of the Dalish like them being savages who snatch up children or something, which my Mahariel...probably didn't care for joking about. I kinda headcanon that seeing how she's willing to step outside herself and analyse her ingrained attitude towards elves was about where she started getting seriously smitten with her. She might see elves differently, but she's genuinely regretful that she's been brought up to think that way and wants to change. I reckon my Warden was pretty touched by that.

And it ended with probably my favourite line my Warden could ever say, that pretty much perfectly sums up her viewpoint. "I'm an elf. But more than that, I'm a person."

And yeah, I played a clueless Warden too. "I...think I'll go write in my journal."

I'm a sucker for dat cultural difference romance tbh.
