Leliana's romance is great regardless what origin or gender you pick. The devs did a really good job balancing all that out.
Objectively, all DAO romances are really well-done and I never felt any of them was lacking in content.
Surprised we didn't even so much as get a chance to flirt with Leliana in Inquisition.
I gotta disagree about the "lacking in content" thing, the only romances with decent content were the M/F relationships, Leliana's F/F romance was especially bad when it came to that seeing as it was completely ignored apart from if you tried romancing someone else at the same time
Care to elaborate? The only real difference is some party banter. And if you don't use those characters you wouldn't notice at all. You will still get jealousy convos in dialogue as well as Alistair's idle gossip and Wynne's concern and Morrigan smiling for hours. Within Leliana's actual dialogue tree there is very little differences between sexes.
A quick look through her dialogue in the toolset indicates the following differences between sexes(minus whatever bugs there are):
You made me say all those things->You still like me right?
female:Oh, why am I being such a baby about this? I must be a sight, spilling my guts.
male:Oh, chivalry is so dead. Making the lady spill her guts like that...
This entire dialogue is female:"I... have I ever told you I really like the way you wear your hair?"
While male gets a few options when discussing female bards using the art of seduction, a couple of compliments when discussing shoes and can say "Those initiates can't have been more lovely than you." to start the romance
Also the forbidden fruit is slightly different
male:My... fruit? Well, it is not technically forbidden... b-but it's not freely given either! Not everyone gets a bite.
female:My... fruit? I... uh...

Whatever, Doesn't matter to me because I play a Male Warden so I would prefer Leli tells Aedan that she loves him rather than "Your a good Friend."

I always understood Leliana's talk of bards seducing their unsuspecting targets as her having some fun with the Warden in order to make them a bit nervous.
I think Leliana was being honest there. You see a glimpse of it with Marjolaine in Leliana's Song. Also in the lore the bard Katriel was hired by the by the mage advisor of the Orlesian king of Ferelden, to seduce to Maric and lure him and his rebel army into an ambush.
Given that bards do use sex to accomplish their goals, I don't think there is any reason to doubt Leliana when she tells the Warden that she used to play the Great Game by the same rules.
Also, in other news, since we were talking about the Divine points system a while ago, it appears that reconciling Celene and Briala isn't a Leliana geared choice like I feared it was.
She had 8 points in her favour before, and 8 points after. Support alone was enough to give Cassandra a significant lead.
...and for some reason, after What Pride Had Wrought, Cassandra shot up to a whopping 25 points.
I'm...not sure how that happened.
