LoL bs not ballanced she is so mary sue that she can threaten her superior and disobey orders without any consequences and you aren't allowed even to do anything about it.

Wow, are you even more "HURR LET'S KILL PEOPLE" than me?

Because I wanted to do that for a living.

Also the occasional saving of lives during floods and such, but nobody remembers soldiers do that...

Did anyone hear something? I didn't.

Serza? What are you yelling at?

Cole's got that one covered. Apparently she likes hers with honey stirred in.

He fails, though; one of the messenger banters shows that he just got a messenger to put a dead bee in her wine. Not how it's done, Cole. :P

Yes because why we should do anything with people that threaten our lives or disobey orders.

Me too! And I may be in the minority but I'm glad Leliana is not a companion this time. It's good to see her in a much bigger role in DAI and I like that we don't have too much power over her anymore. Yes I know we're still her boss, but I feel things are somewhat more balanced now than they were in DAO.

Of course I wish I could have her in my party and interact more with her, but yeah. Advisors rule.

To be fair, I never really felt like the Inquisitor (or at least mine) was the Advisors' boss, since they pretty much did everything and really controlled the Inquisition while I just flailed at rifts and ran from bears :P

I agree that it's nice to have her back in a major role, and there were a couple missions where we got to spend time outside of Skyhold with the Advisors (Inner Circle quests, the Samson/Calpernia thing, etc.), even if it wasn't a lot and there wasn't as much interaction.

Is that rule 63 Leliana? (gender bent?)

Those lines on the chin look like scruff...

I'm guessing so, seeing how it says his voice broke and he couldn't sing anymore. :S

Yeah, that's the impression I got too. I remember Aimo did it with Morrigan and Zevran. The results were... interesting.

He does figure it out, though, and has apparently been doing it for a while (it's mentioned after his quest regardless of whether you chose the more-spirit-path or the more-human-path). I wonder how Leliana reacted to it when it first happened. Was she annoyed that someone's been messing with her drink? Even more that the meddler is impossible to see/catch? Was she moved by the gesture regardless? During Inquisition, she strikes me as someone who wouldn't normally be quick to accept comfort, but it's a subtle reminder of someone she loved deeply (Justinia) and her caring for Leliana, so maybe it's one little measure of comfort she allows herself in those long nights when stresses and burdens get too heavy.

Leliana might be a bit freaked by unexpected things in her drink. Could be poison.

Yeah, that is my initial thought as well. Plus, it must be aggravating to her Spymaster pride that someone manages to pull that off on her. :P

A drawing by Aimo? Seriously though, I find the gender flip experience to be interesting. Does it affect my perspective of the character? Are there certain things about the characters I like more/less if they are the other gender?

It's a good way to spot double standards we might have.

Exactly. Before Skyhold they definitely don't answer to us (and it's not our place to give them orders  -_-), they even tell us "you should have consulted us" at the end of the Mage/Templar quest if they disapprove of our decision. Then we get to Skyhold and agree to become a leader so technically we're everyone's boss from then on, but I feel the Advisors are not just soldiers we can order around expecting absolute obedience. We may be the Inquisitor but they're the ones who keep the Inquisition going. :P

I have a headcanon that sometimes, when Leliana is thinking of/worrying for/getting sad about the Warden, Cole goes out and finds that place where those Andraste's Grace flowers grow in Redcliffe, and subtly leaves them for Leliana.

And just that small little thing that reminds her of when the Warden used to give them to her, whenever she found them, makes her feel a little bit better, somehow.

Well I didn't give her all of them when I found them. Did anyone else carry an Andrastes Grace in their inventory throughout Awakening for the same but opposite reason of headcanon for the Warden to be reminded of her?

Never done that myself, but I like that.

I always gave the first one to her when her approval was only at 'interested' (Give flowers, get a kiss on the cheek. Wuahaha.) but by the time I found the next batch she already had max approval anyway. I was just giving her gifts for no reason other than to hear 'Oh, how dear of you! Thank you so much!' :S

No, but I did in Origins. I just waited until I got the dialogue about Andraste's Grace being her mothers favourite and how she misses that scent of the flower...then I give them to her as a gift.

So lovely to see her eyes light up with happiness. :)
