didn't they drived out only orlesians in ferelden (which pretty much were practically hated by everyone in ferelden for their stupid evil to the extreme behavior) well i didn't read book so well im poor in ferelden-orlais war topic and know only basics.

 

Well avoiding that they took some damge during o-f war cost of blight that was focused mostly on ferelden and loghain civil war rather was hefty punch for ferelden.

Anyway the necromancers intention was to resurrect his dead wife, so him bringing back Hawke's mom wasn't his goal. If he had attempted to bring back the dead we would've been talking to a long dead women, not momma.

Quentin was insane, keep in mind. He couldn't bring back his dead wife, so he attempted to fashion a simulacrum that was identical to her, which in his deranged mind was the same thing.

It's not unlike the crimes of Ed Gein, who was making a "suit" out of women's body parts as part of some bizarre ritual to give himself a sex change. Again, demented serial killer logic.

If that was not Leandra, then who the hell was talking to Hawke who was clearly Leandras spirit tied to the body.

That's an excellent point. Zombie Leandra is a composite of the bodies of a dozen women with Leandra's face. We can clearly see she's been decapitated. There are a number of possibilities.

1) Writer error. They wanted mom to say a farewell and didn't consider how that wouldn't be possible.

2) Lingering spirit. A spirit can hang around its body for awhile, especially if the death is recent and there are magics in place to help it say there.

3) She's somehow still alive. Despite having her head chopped off and stitched to a corpse, Quintin's magic is enough to her to be living on some level.

I suspect it's the first one.

Yeah from what I heard she sounds more like Corinne's natural voice now, which is a bit deeper and wizened then what we had in DA:O, but I can't really come to a conclusion until I hear more.

You know you're dealing with epic fantasy when the simplest answer involves a necromancer using your mother's spirit to power a body he's patched together.

Finally watched the demo.

Leliana is wonderful and I got all worried and protective when I saw her sacrificing herself to buy the qunquisitor more time.

Wonder if Leliana will mention the Warden romance… or if the people who took her captive also killed the Warden? That would be sad. I also hope Leliana doesn't die, in this game. It seems like she's in deep trouble

In this part of the demo, the Inquisitor is accompanied by Dorian, the Iron Bull, and Sera. In Redcliffe Castle, the mages have created a base of operations. However, the heads stationed have grown silent and the Inquisitor must investigate the cause.

Making her way through the castle, the Inquisitor saves Leliana, who was being questioned and tortured by one of the Venatori. The castle itself was rumbling, as it was slowly being split apart (as seen in the trailer). The group engages demons protecting a Veil rift inside the castle. Later, after attacking one of the Venatori spellbinders, the Inquisitor loots a red lyrium shard. “What in Andraste’s name is that!” Dorian exclaims, and tells you to keep it for later use.

Then, the Inquisitor meets Alexius: a Tevinter magister and Dorian’s former mentor. Alexius has done horrible things, including something twisted to keep his son Felix alive. The Inquisitor only wants the amulet that he possesses, but Leliana is greatly disturbed by all of this and takes Felix by the throat. He earnestly begs Leliana to let him go. Leliana angrily says, “I want the world back” and slashes Felix’s throat open. Seeing his son’s death, Alexius attacks the party by ripping open Veil rifts and casting out demons. But in the end, just like Dorian perceives it, Alexius has wanted to die.

After Alexius’s death, Dorian exclaims that he has seen the amulet before being used in Minrathous and wants an hour to figure out the spell to use the amulet. However, the Venatori are approaching their way. Sera and Iron Bull sternly leave to protect the doors, while Leliana covers the Inquisitor and Dorian as they use the amulet to create a portal. As the doors are breached and an unconscious Sera is thrown across the floor, and Leliana is wounded by other attackers, the Inquisitor tries to help. However, she stops as Dorian yells that if the Inquisitor moves, they all die. The last shot seen Leliana staring at the Inquisitor as the Venatori takes her by the throat.
