I know what you mean. I once had grey wardens of Ferelden installed in Origins only to see Duncan back to his lame default armor during rendered cutscens. Totally killed the immersion.

Yeah, that was one of the biggest offenders.

I grit through that though, because I love the Grey Wardens of Ferelden mod so much. I'll just imagine Duncan changed into his skirt before the battle for whatever reason, I guess. You never see him after that. :S

There's a mod to make Leliana a blonde. And a brunette.

I do think the hood makes her look even hotter. So hot that she's practically cooking, preparing for me to eat her up.

I always found this image  a bit misleading, since Leliana was never truly like the first image suggests that she was.

Did anyone else laughed at Leliana's line in the very start that the quizzy tells her:

I wish I had taken some screenshots of Lels at the Ball.

When I saw her without the hood... and with the uniform...

I'm a sucker for a Leli in uniform.

The cutscene just before the Arbor Wilds is one of my favorites in the game. Especially this bit:

I was too distracted by Leliana AND Cassandra basically playing Good/Bad Cop Hand on me to catch the possible comic effect of that line. I don't even remember what I said to them during the interrogation, I was just  :o

However I did have a laugh a bit later, when we reached the forward camp and they started arguing with Chancellor Roderick

Cassandra: "Order me"? You are a glorified clerk, a bureaucrat!

Roderick: And you are a thug, but a thug who supposedly serves the Chantry!

Leliana: We serve the Most Holy, Chancellor

*dramatic turn*

Leliana: AS YOU WELL KNOW

It kinda broke the tension, I don't know :P

Here's a question for you Leliana fans:

If your Warden was on good terms with Leliana and still alive after the events of Origins, Leliana will give you the option at some point to contact the Hero of Ferelden. What I find confusing is that, after her altercation with Varric, Cassandra explicitly states that she and Leliana went looking for the Warden first to lead the Inquisition, and when that didn't pan out, they turned to Hawke.

Cassandra was livid when she found out that Varric had known about Hawke's location all along, but it doesn't bother her that it takes Leliana about 16 hours and one war table operation to get in touch with the Warden?

Lol, Varric and Cassandra have other issues (listen to them banter) but I also don't think Leliana knew how to contact the Warden up until around that point in the story.

That's true for a non-romanced Warden. But Lels knows how to contact a romanced Warden, although it is difficult and time-consuming, as indicated by the extreme length of the war table mission. The letter suggests to me that they haven't been in regular contact.

Well yes and no. Leliana has always had that darker side but in Origins at least on the surface she was rather bubbly and approachable, and you chould choose to make her "hardened" or to be more forgiving and gentle. In Inquisition she starts hardened and you have the choice of making her brutally ruthless.

Not to mention there was evidently a conversation between the (romanced) Warden and Leliana about the details of their quest to cure the Calling before they left, because she knew exactly what they were doing. Leliana would have gone with them herself if things had happened differently.

She knew precisely what the Warden was doing, but Cassandra just says 'S/he has vanished.' like Leliana never told her anything, and just had them on a goose chase for a couple of years despite Leliana knowing where the Warden was all along. Not to mention, I still can't wrap my head around why Leliana would say that it's 'no coincidence' at the end of DA2 when she knew perfectly well it wasn't. Was she trying to confuse Cassandra? :S

I don't really remember if she says something different in that case.... I haven't played through that part in some time.

I really dislike this 'Origins Leliana was all a lie!' thing people seem to be pushing all the time. It was not. Maybe she was cranking up the sweetness a bit, but it's still there under the surface in DAI. It's part of her, she wasn't just making that up. Saying it's 'not truly who she was' is completely unfair because she was making a whole-hearted attempt to change as a person. Seriously, who the heck are we to say that's not who she 'truly was?' You can convince Leliana in both games that that's her true self. She can believe it. I don't see why others can't, and think their preferred Leliana path is the more 'correct' one.

Given Leliana's spirituality and belief in fate and all that, I've started thinking of her line at the end of DA2 as basically meaning 'It is no coincidence that both the people we need just so happen to be unavailable when we need them, the Maker must have something else in mind.' (ie, the Inquisitor.) rather than 'Their fates are linked.'

It's implied, but I don't think it was directly stated. Same with a romanced Morrigan.

Indeed.

That. Plus, I saw a theory that Leliana was so afraid a romanced Warden would get hurt she withheld the information, hoping they could find Hawke instead.

Then, still half-way looking for Hawke, Inky just dropped out of the Fade, rendering their search pointless.
