Always loved In Uthenera. Headcanoned she remembered that song because of my Mahariel in part, as well. Imagine she was a bit surprised and touched that she knew an elven song so well. :3

Now imagine if she sings it again in a hypothetical Calling DLC or some such.

...I would cry of nostalgia.

I wonder who would do it though. They'd need to get Aubrey Ashburne to stand in as her singing voice again, I remember Corrine Kempa saying she isn't much of a singer. :S

They could reuse the old voice file for all I care. As long as we get to relive the moment and experience dem feelz, all is well!

Has anyone figured yet what happens to the Leliana romance in Inquisition if you had the Warden marry Alistair in the Keep while you were still in a romance with Leliana?

Does the note change?

Is there different dialogue?

Did the Warden not go with Leliana to the Waking Sea Chantry after the Fifth Blight?

I still kinda want to hear that song Leliana was said to have made about her travels with the Hero of Ferelden, after the Blight. With changes made if she was romanced, of course. Unless 'I Am the One' really is supposed to be that. I've headcanoned that in the past. :3

She says something along the lines of 'She married King Alistair, but it didn't matter. She loved me.' and is introduced as the mistress to the Queen of Ferelden at the ball. From what I've heard, there are no other differences besides that.

Apparently DA:I kind of assumes you hardened her in DA:O, with that scenario. She ends it if you if you marry Alistair while unhardened.

I've yet to play through a game with a romanced Leliana and marrying Alistair, but from what I understand it's just the "she married him but she loves me" conversation and announcing her at the winter palace as the Queen of Ferelden's Mistress. The note should be the same but I have no idea about Valence.

And I agree, I would love to see Leliana sing In Uthenera again!

Edit: Ninja'd by Snook once again  How do you keep doing that? :P I think the Keep pretty much just always assumes Leliana is hardened, given all of the things possible that require her to be hardened.

Rogue skills.  :bandit:

Hm, I didn't really notice too much in my own world state that seemed to assume she was hardened.

Which is nice, because I always left her unhardened. Would have been a bit bummed if that was overwritten.

I did too. I guess with her general outlook in DAI they just didn't address it because it doesn't make a difference at this point. :?

On the other hand, you can defile the Sacred Ashes and have her live, have an affair with Alistair/be his mistress and still be with Leliana, marry him or Anora, I think you can even go through the Eluvian with Morrigan but that could be a bug. I think there are others; there's a good number of things in the Keep she won't tolerate unhardened.

I didn't really get that impression, to be honest. I think it's mostly neutral, as it should be.

I actually never hardened her in DA:O, now that I think about it. I knew how to do it, but I saw no reason to.

Unlike in DA:I, I was fine with both paths for Leliana in DA:O. I just prefer unhardened because I really didn't like what the Warden had to say to her to harden her. Basically telling her that Marjolaine is right and that they're the same rubs me the wrong way, would have been terribly OOC for my Warden too.

Proud member of the 'I kept her unhardened in both games' club right here, woot.

I'll just stay silent and be sad about delaying her hardening for ten years...

I just finished this scenario, and can confirm what snook says.

I wonder if the line is the same if Cousland marries Anora? Haven't seen that one up on YT yet.

Still, I was a bit surprised to have her announced as the Queen's mistress like that. I had Vivienne in my party too and she got announced as the mistress of a Duke.

The Orlesian court: where everybody knows your lover's name. I like how she is introduced as the Inquisition's seneschal rather than spymaster. It's not completely false either since the seneschal is the one running the household and coordinating the servants. She would have to keep an eye on what and who comes in and out of Skyhold.

I suppose being mistress (or, uh, kept man? in Zevran's case) isn't really seen as shameful, particularly in Orlais. I guess that makes Leliana Barbara Palmer? :P

(Come to think of it, the scandalous part on Zev's side would be his elfiness, wouldn't it?)

I'm curious: How many possible titles does she have for the court?

Seems more than I thought.

Let's see: Nightingale of the Imperial Court, Veteran of the Fifth Blight, Seneschal of the Inquisition and Left Hand of the Divine are always there, so four. If we add mistress of the Queen/Prince Consort, that's five.

Pretty impressive.

There. I always knew Leliana was the only real protagonist in the series :P

The woman really gets around, doesn't she?

I think any Warden can get up to six different titles in one complete playthrough of Origins.

Warden-Commander

Teyrn of Gwaren

Bann of the Alienage

Hero of Ferelden

Champion of Redcliffe

Paragon

... I ran out of ideas. But I'm sure any single Warden can get six titles.

Leli's sound way more impressive, though. Also, I think 'Warden-Commander' is just a rank and not necessarily an honorary title/position, correct?

One could argue Leliana had more freedom as a spy.

Now that she's tied to this organization and working for it 24/7, there's a chance that DA:I is the game that ends her character's story.

Orlais love their titles though. I always thought Nightingale = Left Hand, because it was her alias in DA2. How are those titles different? Does she do anything for Celene?
