Hawke is kind of in limbo now too, if alive. They pulled the disappearing act on him/her yet again.
I'm starting to think Dragon Age needs an Animal House-style 'Where are they now?' ending with every game, for every single character. It'd help.

I would prefer that the writers move on to other characters, and leave the continuing adventures of the deadliest killer in Thedas and her lovely Orlesian paramour to fanfiction and headcanon. Any further tinkering runs the risk of eternally screwing those things up.

I agree, but I kind of want them to wrap this business with the Warden up first. I try, but I have some difficulty headcanoning anything while the Warden's fate is still linked to something...with rather large implications for the plot.
After that, though, yes. Please leave the Warden and Leliana alone forever kthx.

Of course. The Warden and Leliana made a plan. They need to disappear and be left alone, so they will want the world to think whatever the devs will decide, but they really are going to Tuchanka/Bahamas/Skyrim/some mysterious unexplored continent in Thedas/add your own custom setting. Leliana foreshadows what it's going to happen at the end of DA2. She just doesn't tell Casandra she is going to disappear too, just like Hawke and the HoF. Unfortunately the whole Coryfish thing and the breach in the sky complicated things a bit.
The quest to cure the Calling is a McGuffin. The HoF cured himself/herself of the Calling after Awakening because of his/her own awesomeness. Why do you think they don't show the content of the Hof letter to Sister Nightingale?

I find it odd that the warden still uses the title Warden Commander. Fiona was kicked out of the warden once they found out she's no longer tainted. I thought the warden would've been given the same treatment since they are doing it for themselves (and dropping the whole Arl of Amaranthine business - kinda irresponsible, even though I approve)
I'm glad they made warden went "searching for the cure", since it was my headcanon, but seriously, they should make the warden drop that blighted title. Can't go on adventures and have lovely peaceful life if you're a Warden Commander.

Not to mention it seems there's a new Warden Commander in Ferelden. None of the other Wardens have any idea where they are, so I guess they just replaced them.
Not sure why they're still signing off as Warden Commander, guess they just needed a title to put before their name. Or the person they put in charge is a complete chump, and the HoF is denying their status or something. :S

It's weird that the Wardens would let Fiona and the HoF leave like that just because they are cured. They still know secrets of the Wardens and I honestly expect they would try to silence anyone who could blab those secrets.
