As much as I love many of the characters, I personally wish they would stop bringing them back. It creates too many problems for them, story-wise, because they have to keep adjusting to accommodate previous story choices by the players, or else ret-con them, rendering those choices meaningless.

It's one thing if they set it up carefully. It was always pretty clear that the player would not know whether they had truly killed Flemeth. Not that I was happy with her appearances in either sequel, personally, but it fit with whatever choices the player made in DA:O.

I understand the desire to keep bringing back good characters, but giving multiple potential fates was always more interesting and immersive, to me, and I wish they would allow for that more.

That can be mitigated by limiting their roles to a small cameo (e.g. Ash/Kaidan/Liara in vanilla ME2), but then again many peeps would complain that their favorite character's reappearance wasn't what they'd hoped.

You can't please everyone. And who is that in your new avi?

It's weird that the Wardens would let Fiona and the HoF leave like that just because they are cured. They still know secrets of the Wardens and I honestly expect they would try to silence anyone who could blab those secrets.

Warden's case would likely to be treated differently imo, as he/she is actively seeking a means of undermining the fundamentals of being a warden whereas as far as i'm aware Fiona's was accidental and easiest course of action was to hush it up.

It's a nobody from EVE: Valkyrie. Found the image on the Unreal Engine 4 homepage:

Fiona maybe, but I'd like to think they have enough gratitude towards the HoF that they'd let them go without hassle.

If they do have a problem though...let 'em come I say. If they find the summer home in Antiva, or track them down on their adventuring, they'll have two of the most efficient killers in Thedas to contend with. :S

I sort of agree, I suppose. Part of me wishes the Leliana romance epilogue in DAO wasn't tampered with as much as it was. I wasn't particularly overjoyed to see her in DA2, and kind of be left in the dark about the Warden for years.

But DAI made that a bit better, and squeezed in some decent character development for Leliana to boot. Wasn't all for nothing.

Hopefully that's the end, though.

Honestly, I think Inquisition made Leliana a much more complex and interesting character than she already was.

She had potential, and the writers found it fitting to bring her back. Either way, it was obvious since DA2 that Leliana and Cassandra were going to be influential to the storyline in DAI. The writers planned out their roles since before DA2.

And I always felt there was a reason why only Cass and Lels got a DLC/short movie about their backstory. The devs wanted to warm us up on time.  B)

There was no reason to bring her back after dao neither they planned that considering they let us kill her and then had to cheaply backtrack from that decision.

Morrigan and Flemeth were an example somone who had role in further products as their story wasn't finished and was announced in dao and witch hunt.

About her character i would argue they have turned her into marry sue in dai pretty much i couldn't ask about her and not hear flattery toward her character from others with one exception viviene hell it was prob most flattered character i saw in fiction and i saw aizen.

someone asked this a day or two ago but I ship F!Tabris x Leli. idk why but out of all of the origins, that one stuck with me...even though i've romanced Leli with damn near every character i played. Even when i set out to romance Alistair specifically with F!Surana. =\

Keep updated.

"Reminded of her principles and more certain of her role, Leliana shook off much of her grief and guilt at being the Left Hand of the Divine."

"Leliana was elected as the Chantry's new leader, bringing reforms as she helped the Chantry rebuild from the disaster at the Conclave."eOMltOp.jpg

"Certain she was doing the right thing, Leliana put her conscience aside to ensure that the greater good was achieved.42Nbdjk.jpg

The skipped personal quest option isn't showing up for me though

it's strange. Some main blocks are hidden then press and go into them and have some pictures. I don't know if buggy or if it's still loading or what

Seems it's still in its beginning stages. I never thought they'd activate it any time soon.

Just figured it out; I think it hides the choices you've never done in-game, actually. Probably a way to avoid spoilers.

Cassandra is the only Divine I can see, for instance, because she's the only Divine I've ever elected. Leliana and Vivienne are hidden. The option for Gaspard is missing, but Celene alone and Celene/Briala, the two that I've done, are there.

Correct. It actually says so in the note above:

"DA:I tiles that are hidden will only be revealed after you have fully completed the corresponding plot or quest."

Makes sense, I suppose.

Now I'm curious what my two missing tiles in 'Exploring Thedas' and 'Operations' are...

However, as of right now I am only able to view choices made on my first playthrough. Choices from my second don't seem to be reflected.

Either I'm doing something wrong or the Keep is.

So, BioWare, you're telling me if I want to import something I never actually do into the next game for the hell of it, my lazy arse is going to have to actually do it in-game? Bah.

I'm positive this is just temporary to encourage people to play Inquisition and explore it deeper. That and many others have yet to check out the game (it's only been out for a few months).

As we get closer to the next big game, they will most likely 'release' the hidden tiles for everyone.

Also, I like it how softening Leliana shows up as 'Inspired Leliana.'

That sounds much better than 'softened.' :S

That's the main gist of it for me, with Leliana. That, and like many of their plot points drawn from DA 2, I have no knowledge of it, because I never played the DLC. I really wish they wouldn't make DLC so germane to their stories in sequels.

If the bulk of the forums are any indication, I'm definitely in the minority, as far as not wanting characters to keep being brought back.

I still want to get my way, tho'. smiley_innocent.gif

I'll agree that she's more complex..

But at the same time, it's fun to save her from that. "Get back to where you once belonged..."

I doubt that will still be true by the time another game is released. It's a courtesy for people still playing, I suspect.
