When I saw that trailer I just thought 'seriously?' Poor Leliana, how much pain must she go through before the creators let her have peace? My poor darling...

I feel like I'm the only one glad about the fact that she isn't an option.
I'm neutral over all.
On the one hand, she looks beautiful and I know I love her personality so am sad she isn't.
On the other hand, that means she stays faithful with the Warden if romanced so yay for that.

If this is about the capture part of the demo, I'm a straight male. I'm not interested at all i romancing him. I was talking about his templar abilities
.
It's possible to like Cullen as a character without being attracted to him.
I know
I like Cullen too. I was mostly just kidding.

I wonder what the options are anyway. Sounds like the advisers, but the article said companions.

It wouldn't be the first time game sites are wrong about certain things.

I'm guessing it must be the advisers as well.
In any case I would think the options must be limited rather than a 'choose anyone' approach. Or at least that is what I'd expect if there are more missions like this one. If this is a one-off like Fort Drakon I suppose they could have you pick any companion or adviser.

You're not the only one. I'm happy past LIs are not a option in the game. Lord knows, we don't want another DA2 Zev fiasco.
Put me in the pool of I'm happy she isn't romanceable as well.I feel like I'm the only one glad about the fact that she isn't an option.

Or perhaps you can send agents after all their entire point is send them on missions.

Does seem a little...odd to send your advisers out into the fray though. Would have thought they would be kept close at hand.
I kind of like that we can have Leliana do bard stuff though. Hopefully there is a ball that she can infiltrate or something. Or exploit a debauched Orlesian baroness who loves caramel pudding. ![]()

I prefer Leliana not being a LI for this game, but I wouldn't mind if we had a little TLC scene after we rescue her. Those wounds are not going to bandage themselves! Patching her up as she gives her report...

I'm totally gonna send in Cullen. FOR THE LULZ
On a totally unrelated note, that's going to be the battlecry of my inquisition: For the Lulz!
It's even better than "if we kill them, we get their stuff."
"...so you are going to lead this world to its bitter end? But why" -- "For the lulz!"

I feel like I'm the only one considering the possibility that Leliana could have been romanceable unless you import a warden who romanced her and lives. Like the opposite of what they did in me3 where you could romance one of the returning characters if you had romanced them in the previous game. This would have excluded even less people than what they did in ME.
They've already confirmed that Leliana isn't a romance option.
I wouldn't have minded if they went that route for unromanced imports, no imports, or a romanced playthrough where the Warden died. But Bioware elected not go that route, and just made her unromanceable across the board.
That being said I can understand why they didn't go that route, as it requires less variation in dialogue.

Like I said, totally sending Iron Bull if that's an option
He can be like Sten:
"I am a giant with a war dog. I am either making a delivery, or beseiging your keep. Pray for the former"

Sending your spymaster on dangerous mission doesn't seem like intelligent move to me. Don't you have field agents for this?

I certainly don't share that consideration.
When they have so many romance options, why would they chose the one that is restricted to certain players? Leiliana is the most chosen romance all around.
Not to mention the complication of that romance if you you had a catfight between Leiliana and Morrigan in DAO.
ME3 felt like one big fest for returning companions. DAI is different.
One thing to remember: Gaider wants to explore a new aspect with each romance, rather than giving players just a nice face and a sense of achievement. With Leiliana, there is so much already been told. Do you feel that there is so much more to explore with Leiliana in the romance department when every bit of her backstory known to (some) players, but not the character?

Does anyone else think that Leliana sounds really different in DA:I? We haven't heard much but what I heard was surprising. If it wasn't for that post from C. Kempa I woudln't have believed it was the same actress.

She sounds more solemn, less cheerful and curious.
But given the circumstances, that's to be expected.
