That's the main gist of it for me, with Leliana. That, and like many of their plot points drawn from DA 2, I have no knowledge of it, because I never played the DLC. I really wish they wouldn't make DLC so germane to their stories in sequels.
To be fair, in DA2's case it had short development

But at the same time, it's fun to save her from that. "Get back to where you once belonged..."
I think she most belongs on the Sunburst Throne, since we can't reduce it to rubble.

They most probably will, although you might be looking at years down the road. Keep would lose half its value otherwise.
I'm just wondering why it's not recognizing choices I made on my second playthrough (Nightmare). Not that it's a big deal. Nobody likes nightmares...

Blackwall: 125
Cassandra: 124
Cole: 125
Dorian: 125
Iron Bull: 120
Sera: 88
Solas: 125
Varric: 125
Vivienne: 94
Blackwall, Cassandra, Dorian and Cole are really easy to get approval up if you do their quests, and just...do stuff for Cole, really. I really started falling out with Sera around the end, though. I imagine if the game went on much longer than it did, she'd have dropped into the 'not friends' section.

You can't really farm approval with Vivienne either, unfortunately. Collecting her circle tomes only gets you 'slightly approves.' Bah.
If your Inquisitor's views don't really line up with hers like mine did, I guess you'd probably have a rough time getting her approval up. :S

Yep, some are definitely easier than others. Sera is especially sensitive at the end because of the Mythal stuff.

Vivienne basically wants you to agree with her, period. Conscripting the mages in In Hushed Whispers is obviously a good first step. I haven't managed to become 'friends' with her but I've had this confirmed through others' playthrough's.

I guess. He leaves for Tevinter in two circustances. Either becauses he hates you and doesn't want to stay anymore or because he is inspired by your deeds and wants to change things the same way you did.

I managed with many different options: Said the Ostwick enchanter was my mentor +5, saying the war is of no one benefit +20, told her we would need the circles again once it was all over +20, told Connor he deserved to die +5 (lol, I admit I aways resented him for Redcliffe), told Fiona she made an mistake by allying with Tevinter +5, saved the Haven people +5, made mage speech +20, finding all 3 books actually nets +20 from her, gave her the right heart +20, and drank from the well +20. Easily maxed her her approval with that.

If this is accurate, it might explain why I failed to gain her friendship on my first run. I knew I was close but not quite there yet. Reason would be not choosing to drink from the Well, as I did pretty much everything else you listed (aside perhaps from the Connor bit).
It's a lot less of a hassle to befriend her if you simply agree with her views, however.

Kind of wish we couldn't farm anything with anyone. Just rise or fall on approval simply on roleplaying choices.
But this was a prob in DAO as well, with the gift system. Worse actually.

I really like the direction they took Leliana in this game. It was the most practical one as well, though having her entire personality based on one action at the beginning of the game is a tad awkward. Also, she is the prettiest woman in DAI, with Morrigan coming a close second.
Leliana is not divine by defalut, nor inspired by default..hehehehe. This pleases me..

I would like Viv as default Divine. I wonder if that'd ****** people off though.
I just think she needs something substantial to do post-Game 
Cass is just as meaningful restoring the Seekers as she is Divine, along with romanced. Leliana either has the Warden or just works being part of the Inquisition leadership.
